Overview
Conveniently situated within a minute's walk from both Fukushima Train Station and Shin-Fukushima Subway Station, Osaka Guest House U-En is a hostel accommodation housed in a historic Japanese-style townhouse more than 100 years old. Free WiFi is available throughout the property, and a free-use internet PC is available at the lounge. This non-smoking property offers both dormitory rooms with bunk beds and private rooms fitted with traditional futon bedding. All rooms feature air conditioning and shared bathrooms. U-En Guest House provides a common kitchen with a microwave, a toaster, an electric kettle and kitchenware. Shared shower rooms can be used 24 hours and includes free toiletries. Guests can rent bicycles to explore the local area. The ground floor cafe serves freshly baked bread, curry and freshly brewed coffee. The property is a 15-minute walk from lively Umeda area, and JR Shin-Osaka Shinkansen (bullet train) Station can be reached within a 10-minute train ride. Iconic Osaka Castle is a 12-minute train ride away.

“Osaka Guest House is a unique hostel experience in an older building with lots of character.”
Osaka Guest House was a great experience. It is very much a youth hostel style experience with kitchen facilities. It was an easy walk from the train station. Our room, for 3 of us, was the perfect size with a set of bunkbeds and a tatami mat for our 3rd person. The cafe downstairs is lovely and they make the most amazing curry meal. The building has an interesting history which is shared in photos. The staff were fantastic! I recommend this place as it is unique.

“Homely guesthouse, friendly staffs.”
Firstly it's guesthouse so you feel like visiting someone's house. The staffs are polite and helpful. English speakers. Kudos to Kieta, the receptionist who tell you everything you need. The bedrooms are upstairs and downstairs are restaurant and café. This is an old Japanese wood house renovated that you see it's wood structures. If you like curry, then this restaurant promotes you several kinds of it. Their coffee was legit too.

“Review of 3 night stay at U-En Guesthouse”
Friendly staff, good amount of showers/toilets and commob space. Great curry served in the restraunt below, nice and quiet and in a conveinient range to public transport.

“Great place to crash”

Clean, cozy and vibey - located in an old Japanese house. The staff were super friendly and lovely. Loved our stay here, we felt very welcomed. Our room (Momo) was really cute with most comfy beds.

The coffeee!!! really wanna go back for the coffeee. I had a late areival so didnt really interacted much with staff ezcept during coffee morning. They're nice and speak english

“Comfortable and affordable stay in Osaka”
I got a bottom bunk bed in the girl’s only room. The smell of the tatami mat when you enter the room is so comforting. I heard they had just replaced the tatami mat in that room, so maybe I got lucky. The bed is so comfortable. I was also lucky enough that my bunk was next to the window, so the natural light that came in every morning made it extra nice. The place is clean, and there is always space in the toilet. The location is in a nice area, with delicious restaurants in the vicinity, and not a lot of tourist so it is quiet at night.
