Overview
The Polana hotel is situated in the heart of Slovakia, in an attractive location next to the Zvolen castle, at the beginning of the local pedestrian zone. Warm shades, wood and marble create a unique hotel atmosphere, present throughout the public spaces and the cosy rooms and apartments. Each apartment has its own style but all offer great comfort and a host of amenities. This is a great base from which to explore this picturesque city with its wonderful Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque-style houses on the market square and its impressive castle. Business guests will certainly appreciate free wireless internet access available in all rooms and the fully equipped conference room.

The electric sockets were behind cupboards and difficult to each. Easy access to sockets are needed nowadays because of the number of items that need charging. Generally, it needs modernising, for example my room had a traditional bath with shower attachment.

The breakfast was really good. Both hot and cold foods. Free parking. Close walk to castle across the road. ALDI an easy walk away.

“Not so bad for one night, however, value for money is questionable.”
In hotel Poľana, staff and service in the restaurant were amazing. They are proffesional, and fast. Also the menu in the restaurant was great with variety of food and beverages.

“Pleasant stay in the centre of Zvolen”
Pleasant staff, great location, good breakfast and nice room. Blackout curtains together with blinds means great sleep.

“Hotel with great location, modern room and good value for money.”
My apartment was nice and renovated and had a practical layout of the room. I also liked the location of the hotel and the very reasonable cost of parking. Hotel restaurant was very good. I appreciate the free drinks in the mini fridge in the room. Also, the girl at the reception desk was very friendly.

Close to the railway station. Check in very easy because nobody was there and I let myself in as per the instructions sent to me. The key was left on the reception desk for me. Good variety available on the breakfast menu.
