Extremely friendly, very comfy bed, beautiful forest location not far from the centre of Zlín (though for solo travellers, I’d recommend a taxi back after dark). Good breakfast and excellent food in the restaurant.

Great location, tucked away in a lovely forest yet really close to town and amenities I.e. 5 mins drive. The restaurant looked great but as we were visiting family didn't get a chance to sample the menu.

Very close to the city but a nice, small hotel in the forest... You feel like you are in the forest, surrounded by greenery... Quiet and calm. The breakfast is very good.

“Very nice cabin-style accommodation in the foothills of Zlín”
Very nice cabin-style accommodation in the foothills of Zlín, surrounded by forest, close to the famous Bat'a houses on the hillside. We slept with open windows to enjoy the fresh air of the forest - which we also enjoyed for our morning exercise.

This was the most horrific experience ever. I came to the Masters of Rock festival. The day after I had to leave around 5 a.m. to catch trains to Vienna airport. However on check-out I was detained by the staff member who did not speak any English, was absolutely unwilling to communicate and was rude. He could not explain anything to me, just insisted that I should wait until 6 a.m. When I tried to leave he threatened to call the police. Finally at 6 a.m. English speaking receptionist arrived. She explained to me that I allegedly used a minibar and needed to pay for the drinks. I did not use it however I would happily pay if I could at 5 a.m. and catch my trains/flight. The English speaking girl checked me out but it was already too late. I didn't hear any excuses, just "I wasn't here when the conflict happened, it's not my fault/issue". So due to unprofessionalism and unwillingness to assist I lost a lot of money. Not even mentioning all the stress. Do not recommend it if you are a foreigner.

“Great stay in a fascinating city.”
The Koliba occupies a very nice location in the forest above the city of Zlin. It is easy walking distance to the city centre and also offers access to pleasant walks in the countryside, right on the doorstep. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Zlin is a fascinating city and it is highly recommended to visit the Bata memorial, the museums, the former factory area and housing colonies. The architecture of the Bata buildings (and other buildings, for example, the university by Eva Jiricna) is very high quality and it is clear the city as well planned with vision and purpose. The parks have recently been reconstructed and the public spaces are also attractive and well maintained. Refer to this website for excellent information: https://zam.zlin.eu/en/

very comfortable hotel. clean and comfortable rooms. sound isolation was great. WIFI was great, the staff was very kind and helpful. the dinner in the restaurant was of top quality.
