“Can’t fault it for the price”

Top location. The hostel is 5 min walk from the East (main) gate of Zhangjiajie Forest Park. It is close to shops and stalls if you need provisions for your walks in the park. Great atmosphere. The hostel has a nice vibe, with a communal seating and dining area on the ground floor where travellers can mix. Cold beer and soft drinks are available for purchase. Tasty dinners. There’s an optional communal dinner - CNY38 at time of writing - where the manager’s aunt cooks a fantastic selection of varied dishes each night. I stayed 4 nights and didn’t eat anywhere else! Handy laundry - facility on the top floor with washing machines, a tumble dryer and outdoor space to hang clothes under cover. Good rooms. My room (#200) was quite spacious. It had a separate seating area. The bathroom had an excellent hot shower with deluge and spray options. The rooms don’t get serviced during the stay but you can ask for anything you need. Helpful and friendly staff. Interactive hosts who speak good English and who can help with booking discounted tickets if required. Nothing seemed too much trouble.

Location was perfect to access Zhangjiaje National Park - less than 5 minute walk. The hostel was clean, the room was spacious. David was very helpful in planning for the park. But the most amazing part was the optional home cooked dinners every night - the perfect way to end each day of exploring the park by eating amazing local dishes with other travellers.

Travel of Swan International Hostel was a great stay, with spacious rooms and comfortable beds, especially good for a hostel. The location couldn’t be better for accessing the East Gate, including the Avatar Mountains and Golden Whip Stream. The reception staff were friendly and helpful, and Winnie was particularly outstanding. She went above and beyond by helping me book Zhangjiajie activities and entry tickets, and even put together a custom itinerary for me in advance. I’d highly recommend getting in touch via WeChat ahead of time and giving them enough notice, as their support can really enhance your trip.

Best time ever. People working at the hostel just created a super welcoming environment for people from all over the world to meet up and enjoy their time. Super friendly! Location is great if you want to be close to the entrance of the park. Met so many friends there that kept meeting during our travel in China

The bed is comfortable, it had a locker to keep valuables in, it has a small night light, a plug and black out blinds. They offered free drinking water which was also very kind.

Great stay, clean and comfortable room

Another very good basic well ran hostel. David is very helpful with Any issues you might have. He speaks pretty good English and can book the national park tickets from the hostel immediately. The hostel has produced a very good two day itinerary which is very detailed and easy to follow. If you add to this a further public bus ride (13¥ each way) to the Glass bridge and Canyon adventure area that will cover three pretty intensive days. The reception lounge area is very cool and relaxed and the cold Beers are again just 6¥. The 5th floor roof terrace is also very cool and you can wash and dry your clothes by hand free of charge. Excellent location, surrounded with shops and food stalls and just a 5 Min walk to enter the East gate of the national park. The Beds are very comfortable and clean with privacy blinds plus all have their own small light and power socket. The room electronic Key is also used for a very large personal locker All inclusive of the room fee. Hot water is available 24/7 for drinks or the very popular Chinese Pot noodles etc

Good English, David can book your parc tickets for you. The place is really close to the entrance. The room was clean with a secure big closet. There is a rooftop to clean and dry your laundry. I highly recommend 👌

Staff was lovelyyy! Location - it’s 2min walk to the park. But if you want to go to Tianmon mountain, you have to go first to the city (25min) and there take the cablecar.
