Overview
World-famous Matterhorn Mountain can be viewed from Youth Hostel Zermatt. Ski lifts as well as Zermatt city centre are a 10-minute walk away. Free Wi-Fi is available in public areas. You can choose from rooms with private bathroom, rooms with shared bathroom facilities and single beds in a dormitory. Some rooms feature access to a barrier-free shower. 3-course meals are available on prior request at Youth Hostel Zermatt.

“Convenient, friendly and cosy (+ Matterhorn view!)”
Super friendly staff (even provided quick and accurate info about allergens for breakfast), located in the centre of Zermatt with a beautiful view on the Matterhorn, storage space available, fresh produce for breakfast and lots of choices, dinner offer for reasonable price, common area with many board games available to relax with friends after a long hike, clean room and absolutely no noise during the night!

“Clean, does the job and good breakfast”
Very clean and neat. Comfy bed and pillow, good showers. The staff were great, I had to re organise my booking(due to a change in my schedule), they were so accommodating and helpful. The free breakfast was good - probably the best bread I’ve had! Breakfast also included, hot chocolate, coffee, cereal, boiled eggs, deli meats, spreads, yoghurts and fruit! You also get a view of the Matterhorn from the breakfast area if you’re sitting at the right tables.

It was very steep to get to. We’re learning that lots of things in Switzerland are but it was still a surprise.

Central location. Amazing view on the Matterhorn. Friendly staff. Very clean and modern. Good food (breakfast and dinner). Overall excellent, and very good value for money.

“Great Youth Hostel in a stunning town.”
Really good and compares well to other Youth Hostels I have stayed in. Staff were friendly and helpful. Included breakfast was basic but was really tasty. Everything you need. More expensive that a standard Youth Hostel but much less expensive than almost everywhere else in town.

Loved the free breakfasts, lots of different options and even non-dairy vegetarian foods which was a really nice surprise. Also loved the mountain view from our window. Liked having big enough lockers in rooms. Everything felt clean.
