Overview
Offering free Wi-Fi, Hotel Plateau Rosa is located a 10-minutes walk from Zermatt’s centre and 100 metres from Zermatt Cable Car, at the foot of the Matterhorn. It has a sauna, bar and a garden terrace. Rooms are decorated in traditional mountain style, with carpeted floors, light-wood furniture and wood-beamed ceilings. They feature cable TV and a private bathroom. Rooms located on the south side have a balcony overlooking the Matterhorn. Zermatt is a car-free resort. You can reach the city’s train station on foot in less than 20 minutes or take the local bus which stops 100m from the hotel. Many restaurants are within 2 to 10 minutes walking distance from the hotel.

The staff are excellent - the emails and information we received before our late arrival were most helpful, and we received good advice and assistance throughout our stay. The hotel is comfortable, warm and well positioned near the ski lift, with an excellent view of the Matterhorn. Facilities are good.

Perfect location, 100m walk to the Matterhorn Express gondola which takes you all the way to the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise. From the balcony the view of the Matterhorn is just stunning, in the morning and evening. The drying room in the basement is very convenient to leave skis and boots there all night. Breakfast was great. Very helpful front desk. And Michael dropped us off to the train station with a better price than the taxi.

near to the cable bahnstation. Warm, large and clean room with a really nice view of Matthorn. You can enjoy your sunrise and sunset in your balcone. Very nice experience, i'd like another holiday time here.

“A Gem in Zermatt”
An awesome hotel, situated out of the hustle and bustle of Zermatt, with a great view of the Matterhorn. Rooms are comfortable and the extra details a treat. Michael was a lovely host, gave us lots of information on the cable cars and sites to see. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety to eat. Near to a cable car station and 10 minutes walk to the centre of Zermatt. Highly recommend this hotel.

“Homely, unassuming and elegant hotel.”
The breakfast is straightfoward and well-prepared. The room is well proportioned, comfortable, homely and equipped with wooden furniture. The location is exceptional, a 15 minutes walk from the train station, yet secluded from the business of the town centre and well located to start a hike.
