“A wonderful stay, highly recommended”

We were truly amazed by the interior design of Hotel Berghof, it creates a cozy, homey atmosphere with a charming vintage touch that feels incredibly calming. The views from our room of the Matterhorn were absolutely stunning. The hotel is conveniently located within a 10–15 minute walk, and the surrounding scenery is excellent throughout. They also offer a shuttle service from the train station, which made our arrival much easier since each of us had two pieces of luggage. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. We would definitely choose to stay here again on our next visit.

What a wonderful family run hotel. Every detail has been thought through and everything works as it should. Beautiful interior decorations. Close to the Gondola with direct lift access (great after a long day in ski boots) and local ski shop to rent/ return gear. I will definitely be back if I return to Zermatt in the future.

Breakfast was okay ...not continental but lovely selection. The room was very specious, the dinner was tasty... The only thing I did not comprehend is not having dinner on the second night even though the price for the two nights was the same ...

Location was spectacular. Unrestricted views of the Matterhorn from our Suite. Regina was an amazing host, very helpful, kind, bubbly, and warm! They even upgraded us for our honeymoon stay. Best hospitality we've had in Switzerland!!

Fantastic location for the chairlift. They have a lift that goes into the ski station, it felt quite special. Ski lockers, boot room all excellent and well positioned, couldn’t be better really. Spa was great, loads of facilities, 2 pools with jacuzzis, loads of seating, steam room, sauna, this was past expectations at this level of hotel and beats some 5 star facilities. Just be careful, as in Switzerland you might encounter a naked member of the same or opposite sex in the showers or other spa facilities, might not suit everyone. Lovely room, very large with sitting area.

Perfect location just above main ski lift. Charming well run place. Elevator directlly to ski room from gondola priceless after long day on skis:)

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Swiss Alpine Berhof Hotel, and it was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment I arrived, the first-class service was evident. The flavors, presentation, and variety were outstanding, making dining there a highlight of the visit. The views from the hotel were breathtaking. Surrounded by stunning alpine scenery, it was the perfect escape to relax and recharge. Whether gazing out from the room, the dining area, or the spa, every angle offered postcard-worthy landscapes. The hotel itself was impeccably clean, with attention to detail clearly a priority. The rooms, common areas, and facilities were all spotless and well-maintained. Speaking of the spa—it was simply amazing. The luxurious treatments, serene atmosphere, and exceptional amenities made it an oasis of tranquility. It was the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring the area. Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. Whether for a romantic getaway, family trip, or solo retreat, this hotel delivers an unforgettable experience. I can't wait to return!

This hotel was such a cozy and delightful place to stay! Although our room was small, it offered a breathtaking direct view of the Matterhorn, making it truly special. The thoughtful touch of heart-shaped chocolates left in the room was a lovely gesture that made us feel welcomed. The lounge, swimming pool, and sauna were all fantastic, providing the perfect environment to relax and unwind. We enjoyed swimming and even had fun playing billiards. The restaurant and lounge had an incredibly creative and aesthetic vibe, adding to the charm of our stay. The staff were wonderful—always friendly and helpful in planning our day and recommending places to visit. A word of advice: if you plan to dine at the restaurant, make a reservation early as it gets fully booked quickly. The hotel also provided a convenient pick-up and drop-off service, which added to the overall ease of our experience. It was a truly memorable stay, and we’d love to return! This wasn’t our first choice, as we had to cancel our original booking due to a change in our itinerary. However, it turned out to be the best decision we could have made—fortunately!
