Overview
The Hotel Ambassador Zermatt enjoys a central location, only 100 metres from the Zermatt train station and the Gornergrat rack railway station. It offers a large heated indoor pool, whirlpool, sauna and free high-speed WiFi in all areas. All rooms and apartments feature a balcony offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, including the Matterhorn. There is a free internet corner next to the lobby, and a ski rental shop is on site as well. Fine Swiss and Spanish can be enjoyed in the Tapas & Wine restaurant. The lounge and the bar are inviting places to spend some relaxing hours with a selection of drinks. Shuttle services and a taxi to and from the airport or the train station can be arranged.

“Well located hotel, too expensive, not a 4-star experience”
Hotel Ambassador is very conveniently located 1 min away from the railway station on the main street with most restaurants and shops. We got a Matterhorn view room, which thanks to the clear weather led to a stunning Matterhorn view in the afternoon and morning. Reception staff is nice and courteous. Our double room size was OK. Overall, a nicely located middle of the road hotel, too expensive for the experience.

Great location - 2mins from the train station. Great view of the Matterhorn to watch light up at sunrise. Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely clean spa area.

Everything was perfect. Great service, comfortable room, and a very pleasant overall experience. The staff were friendly and helpful, and everything was well organized. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend it.
