Located in the Winkelmatten area in the village of Zermatt, 4-storey Chalet Schwalbennest combines rustic features with modern design elements. Bright red and black kitchen counters and leather sofas stand out next to weathered-looking wood beams and flooring. Floor-to-ceiling windows flood the chalet with natural light and provide stunning views of Matterhorn Mountain. Views of the surrounding Alpine landscape can be enjoyed from the balcony too. Whilst wood is featured heavily in most of Chalet Schwalbennest’s rooms, some feature stone walls. One of the bedrooms has a bath in the room. Bathrooms include spa baths. WiFi is available free of charge. Modern furniture, a glass-fronted fireplace and flat-screen TV with cable channels are all features of the living room. The spacious kitchen has modern appliances and a refrigerator with a built-in TV. A children’s playground is just 50 metres away. A bus stop is 100 metres away. Chalet Schwalbennest is 200 metres from Zermatt Cable Car and Findelbach Train Station. Matterhorn Express is a 10-minute walk away. Ski lifts and the Zermatt village centre are a 15-minute walk away. The Zermatt Train Station is reachable within a 25 minute walk. Zermatt is a car-free resort.

“Fantastic”
Every thing ! It was absolutely beautiful, 4 floors, very unique, outdoor terraces with sofas and chairs on 2 of the floors with spectacular views of the Matterhorn , brilliant kitchen facilities . We will return

Great little chalet with two double bedrooms and en suite bathrooms. Old wooden beams were used in construction which gives the place an authentic feel! Great living area with A/V system for movie nights, and stunning views of the Matterhorn above. Lots of balconies, nice for morning hangouts. Thank you Daniela.

Everything about this property was incredible. Well equipped for long stays and the host (Daniela) was on hand for anything further that was needed. It’s location has to be seen to be believed. Overlooking the Matterhorn never got boring. This stay is truly incredible.
