The place itself is breathtaking Everything was perfect - the rooms are gorgeous, my room has a view of a vineyard, very comfortable and high quality. The breakfast has a nice selection and everything is of great quality, coffee is tasty. Had a massage that was very pleasant.

We almost didn’t stay here as some reviews were a bit negative but we’re so glad we did. From the outset the staff were lovely and allowed us an early check-in. The room was characterful and huge & the bathroom was beautifully renovated and the big bath was nice to relax in. The bed was full really comfortable. We enjoyed walking around the beautifully manicured gardens and my husband did the castle tour which he found really interesting. We had a lovely dinner at the restaurant and found the prices reasonable, comparable to Pilsen & Prague. The breakfast was also very good, plenty to choose from on the buffet. Easy 45 minute drive to the airport, we were really happy we’d chosen to stay here for a last night in Europe, away from the crowds and somewhere peaceful and welcoming.

I was looking forward to a relaxing night in a proper double bed – instead, I got two single beds placed next to each other, but with frames that kept them awkwardly far apart. So i slept on one bed. Sleep? Not really an option, since the beds squeaked loudly with every movement – enough to wake me up every time I turned over. The bed frame felt completely worn out, as if it had seen one too many guests. Hot water? almost cold water! Showering turned into a gym session: a bathtub instead of a shower, no holder for the shower head, and a hose so short you had to bend over just to wash your hair. All of this might be tolerable at a bargain price – but at this rate, you’d expect at least the basics to be in place. A major letdown.

It is a historic castle indeed. The park and surroundings are breathtaking. Staff makes all its best efforts to make you feel welcomed and comfortable.

The room was surprisingly cozy given its location in a large chateau. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the location and views are truly unique. Breakfast in the castle tavern was tasty and had nice variety. We didn't try the spa facilities, but they were available with advance notice, and the organized tour of the chateau was informative. Lots of cycling and hiking options nearby.

Very helpful staff, nice room, great wellness (private) for additional 500,- CZK per person, very good restaurant at the place adn overally wonderful environment. Breakfast offers pretty much anything you ordinarily eat.

Great views, very nice staff, they speak good english. They have many extra activities to do during the stay.

the Château is a very unique execrpience and a wonderful get-away during cold winter. the staff is superfriendly, the food is good. the Forest around the castle is perfect for hiking.

“Best romantic weekend away ever!”

Our experience of Chateau Zbiroh was 10/10. I've been to a lot of countries and many hotels and this would rank as my number one hotel for a romantic get away. It wasn't cheap consider the average price of hotels in the area, but paying for the suite Kolowrat suit was worth every penny. Amazing room, perfectly clean and finished. Old appearance with a brand new feel. Bottle of cold champagne also a surprise left for us to enjoy in the in-room hot tub. And make sure to book a slot in the hotel health centre for a little extra for use of the pool, hot tub and sauna. Leave yourself lots of time to enjoy walking around the grounds and take a meal at the restaurant. Honestly - I dont normally write reviews, but this trip was worth it.
