This is a friendly cozy place. They try hard to make guests comfortable. The breakfast buffet is very good and changes every day. The dinner was simple home cooking, but very nice. The dining terrace has a glorious view.

We absolutely loved our stay at Pension Marian and are already planning to return in the future. The guesthouse is in Zavala, a peaceful and remote part of Hvar Island, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The room was spacious, very clean, and had a comfortable bed. We especially loved the large balcony with stunning sea views and sights of nearby islands. The hosts were incredibly friendly, helpful, and made our stay even more enjoyable — they gave us great recommendations for getting around, car rental, and local spots. Daily cleaning was offered, and breakfast was included (simple but perfectly fine). The area has two restaurants — one more relaxed, which we really enjoyed, and one slightly fancier. The nearby pebble beaches and clear water added to the charm of the location.

I had a wonderful stay at Pansion Marjan. Nikolina and her parents are great hosts. The room was clean and spacious with a balcony with the view on the sea. They even offer half board with delicious home made dinner with fresh products, including fish. It was a relaxing holiday and the other guest were very nice too.

If I could give this place more than a 10, I absolutely would. It’s the best hospitality I’ve experienced in Croatia. The staff is absolutely wonderful—very kind and welcoming. They spoke English, German and Croatian to the guests and always made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The house is just steps from the beach—it really doesn’t get better than that. While I’ve seen some comments about the beds being uncomfortable, I personally found mine very comfortable. They offered toiletries, comfortable towels, toilet paper and room service! For those who have been to Croatia, you'll know that this is rare! I highly recommend choosing the half-board option at Pansion Marjan! The continental breakfast features fresh, homemade ingredients, and in the evening, you’re treated to an outstanding 3-course dinner made with local produce that truly brings out the authentic flavors of Dalmatia. They also serve homemade liqueurs and wine, which pair perfectly with the food. You’ll dine on a terrace with breathtaking 10/10 views, making every meal even more enjoyable. We were also so grateful that our dog was warmly welcomed, which meant a lot to us. We usually don’t return to the same place for vacations, but for Pansion Marjan, we just might make an exception.

It is very comfortable, and the staff is very kind. It offers an excellent breakfast. It also provides a communal refrigerator for guests. The town is a beauty, surrounded by beautiful beaches. It's the perfect place for those who want to relax. We will definitely be back.

Located close to sea, our room nr. 2 had a great sea view from terrace, friendly owners, tasty food prepared by them. We did a lot of one day trips all around close and far from Zavala. Good place for sleeping. Room was equipped with silent air-conditioning.

The woman who was the owner of the facility takes great care of her guests. A very positive person. A nice gesture was also a treat with delicious home-made wine. The apartment was very clean, quiet and provided a lot of privacy. The owner reacted positively to every inconvenience that appeared. I recommend it to anyone who wants to relax in silence.

The best on the apartment was the location in Zavala. There are very nice beaches around, good options to eat out. The rooms were clean and the view, too. Parking is possible there. I also very much liked the breakfast, which also offered glutenfree option. I enjoyed the time there.

Beautiful hostel with very kind hostess. Zavala is a very beautiful quiet village with stunning nature & sea. Nice restaurants and the journey through the tunnel is a great experience.
