I had a wonderful stay at this pension over the summer. The staff were warm, welcoming, and always ready to help, which made me feel right at home. The food was absolutely excellent— delicious, fresh, and clearly prepared with care. I’d gladly return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway 😊

Cozy location very close2beach.Lorena and Benito are by far the lovely and awesome hosts ever met till our holidays. Beautiful location, room with a balcony and a sea view. AC was working perfectly. We didn’t have a TV but we were happy about it. Comfortable beds, clean sheets and towels. Breakfast was okay but the dinners were simply amazing: not a buffet but always freshly cooked meal, including meat, fish, mussels, so I’d suggest to book your stay with dinners included. Pretty quiet place, a couple of small beaches nearby. Not much shops around but there is a small bakery and once a day next to the beach comes a car which you can get vegetables and fruits from. Hosts are very kind and helpful. Not a party place but should be good for people who need a quiet stay. Not related to the property, but I’d suggest to keep in mind that this is an island, thus ferries schedule better be checked and tickets purchased in advance.

Pension Jakas - Zavala. Here you can feel and taste the spirit of Dalmatia. Fresh sea food, nice people, beautifull weather and sea, no noisy hotels as it is small Fishing Village, so you can trully relax. We stayed here at the end of August, and it was really great. The Staff and host are very helpfull and nice. They speak English and Deutsch, I'm polish and noticed that croatian is somehow similar to polish (we all belong to slavic familly) so it is easy to communicate. Rooms are comfortable with air conditioning - there is no tv inside (great! No need for a tv in such a beautifull place). As to the meals. There is a breakfast and a late dinner (at 7 p.m). On breakfast you can have white bread or croissants, with different kind of cheese, or some meat, tomatoes, olives. You can get also scrumbled eggs. The choice is OK, and you won't feel hungry. As to the late dinner, first meal is rather random, it is usually chicken or tomato soup but the second meal was the one we we were always waiting for. It was either meat or sea food, but always delicious, at the end we were served cakes or fruits (from the owner's garden). There is a parking place near the building so you can leave your car there. The neighbourhood is also great. You can enyjoy staying in calm place (in high season) swimm in clear warm water( we were snorkeling ) and see colorfull fish and even dolphins. I highly recommend this place. What you can see here is a whole familly that works hard to offer their guests all the Best. Pozdrawiamy Was Wszystkich! Vidimo se !

“Best place to stay and eat lovely dinners.”

The place is clean, comfortable. Staff is amazing, very lovely people. They serve dinners if you ask, 100% worth it. Don’t waste money on other restaurants, the food at the property is amazing. I would recommend this place 100%.

The rooms in the hotel are old renovated but clean and have air conditioning. I liked the fact that the sea is close and since it is an island there are not many people on the beach.

“The Jakas family paradise!”

Pansion Jakas is a family owned accomodation and what we loved first and foremost is the family atmosphere. We felt almost like we were visiting our relatives! Also take the halfboard option, because the food was great. A lot of variety and options at breakfast for everyone and eventough there is no dinner buffet, the daily menu was incredible, true Croatian/Dalmatian home-cooking! Seafood was especially great and the variety of it was amazing! My partner is really picky when it comes to food and she loved it (vegeterian, but eats fish). There are also a lot of nice beaches nearby, maybe not directly in the Zavala port (a good beach), but every other one is max. 10 minutes away (walking). Oh and to finish off, we normally do not return to the same spot during our next/planned vacations, but we will definately return to the Jakas family in the future!

Really nice pension with clean & comfortable room. Breakfasts were great, dinners even better ;-) Lorena and all the other staff were reall friendly and helpful. The seaside is close with some really nice small beaches. We really enjoyed our vacation. Thanks ;-)

We had the pleasure of staying at this charming B&B run by a lovely family. The whole place was squeaky clean and it’s evident that owners and staff pour a lot of effort and care into maintaining the place, and the result is a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. As soon as you step inside the hall, you're greeted by an entrance adorned with healthy, beautiful plants that set a vibrant and refreshing tone. The room we stayed in was nice and comfy, with AC, plus a cute little balcony that added an extra touch of coziness. The breakfast was great, and being able to enjoy it on the terrace was nice. The efforts put into maintaining the place shine through in every detail.

“A great place for relax and serenity....”

Overall we are happy with the Pansion Jakas. The location of the pansion was excellent - we had a sea view from our terrace. There were local beaches and cafeterias nearby. Atmosphere of the pansion was quiet and relaxing, we had no noisy neighbors. Meals were very delicious and well served, there was a substantial amount of food for everyone. Owners of the pansion were kind and friendly.

We cannot thank Dasha and Donem enough for all of their help whilst we stayed at Pansion Jakas! They were super amazing and lovely, Dasha is the best cook and was so kind to Olivia which, as her Muma, I so appreciated! Donem giving us lifts and helping us get to our next accommodation, as the accommodation is quite remote, but we loved that about it. Friendly team and picturesque accommodation in a small fishing village which felt authentic and more relaxed than the touristy areas of Hvar. The rooms were small and simple but the balcony was cute and and the AC was great!

“Amazing holiday”

This was the best holiday we´ve ever been. We had a reservation for 5 nights, but we decided to stay 1 week more because everything here was amazing. From the breakfast to dinner and also the best Jakas family are very nice and friendly people. The pension is only 2 minutes from the beautiful clean Zavala beach. Cannot wait we will come back again next summer :)
