“Great value for money on a tropical island.”

Guesthouse Iyonchi was an easy walk from the ferry terminal and as its located on a waterway was easily found at night. I enjoyed having a small balcony that overlooked the stone waterway. The tatami floor gave a japanese feel and the onsuite toilet and basin was very welcome. The staff were helpful in their eating recommendations and considerate to my needs. The guesthouse had a relaxed beach like feel with communal areas and a clean, well equipped kitchen. I also went out on their boat snorkelling trip which turned out to be the highlight of my Japanese holiday. Maki took great photos of the coral & fish we saw and created a short video collage - which delighted friends and family. Highly recommmended!

Basic room and amenities, shared shower as room shower didn’t work. Good aircon. We aren’t fussy so it was good enough for us but nothing fancy. Lovely staff

Very big space: we booked a room for 4 persons (2 beds and 2 futon) ma the beds were so big that we used only 2 beds for 4 people. Very clean and comfortable, we also had everything in the bathroom

“Excellent, smartly designed room. 10/10”

The location is very close to the pier—just a 3-minute walk. The room was spotless, smartly designed, and made excellent use of the available space. The futons were very comfortable, and the bedsheets were cloud-soft. The bathroom dried within a couple of minutes, and the materials used throughout the room (walls and floor tiles) made it easy to keep everything dry and clean. We didn’t order breakfast from them, but the room had a fridge, which allowed us to store food from a nearby shop (yogurts, nuts, and fresh fruit). Utensils were also available in the shared area. There were more than enough towels (3–4 per person), along with nice soaps, shower gels, and a hairdryer. In the common area, additional drying racks were provided for swimsuits and towels, helping to keep the room dry and tidy. We were also able to rent wetsuits and snorkeling gear on-site, which was very convenient. It was about a 15-20 minute walk to either of the beaches, so not having a bicycle was also fine. Laundry and dryer facilities were available for a small fee, and washing powder was provided. The staff were kind, informative, and spoke good English.

Zamami is very small so everything was nearby

Really great place to stay in Zamami - so helpful with letting us know about boats and potential cancellations. Would recommend to anyone on holiday or travelling.

“Lovely stay”

Very friendly owner. Due to bad weather we were advised to leave early and even got a refund for the remaining nights which I appreciated a lot. The room was very spacious as well as the bathroom. Very clean and even equipped with a TV and a projector!

The people was very attentive with us during our stay and also informed us that possibly our ferry was going to be cancelled the day after so they did everything on their hands to guide us through the change of the reservation and we highly appreciate it. The room was very good!

Quiet, cosy and has aircon that caters to warm or cool weather. Close proximity to the convenience store, to the pier, to all the delicious food stores/restaurants. Toilet is very clean. Bed is very comfortable.

The owner is very nice and helpful and she speaks good English. I got a traditional room with Japanese tatami. It was not a luxurious room, but it was clean and comfortable. I had a good rest. I am glad that the toilet was in the room, but the shower was shared. I could store my luggage after check-out

“Relaxing hotel for a one-night stopover”

Lovely new bathroom, comfortable bed, able to hire beach towels, snorkels direst from the hotel, allowed us to check-in soon after we arrived rather than waiting until the official time.
