Everything. Drive in the driveway and Wow cool. Has a air raid shelter too if needed. Massive rooms. Old but that's fine as suits the place 100% So much character. Parking at the door. Great kebab in town. Wow Kebabs View from the room was mystical Staff are great. Restaurant is there is the manor Loved every bit.

The hotel is rather "unconventional". It is, in fact, a section of another hotel (I do not recall its name) where one must check in. The building of the Okatex hotel is rather old and worn out. The same can be said about the room. On the other hand, for a one-night stay of a not very demanding guest, the hotel is... let's say, better than sleeping outdoors.

Staff were friendly and tried their best to communicate with us in English when there was not an English speaking person available. An hours walk from Stagluft 3 which was the reason for our stay in the area.

Located near the border, spacious room. Not far from the town center. Very clean. Big car park. Kind and helpful receptionist.

The property is in a good location with a lot of property.

“Our Great Escape”

A welcoming hotel on the outskirts of Zagan. It was a bit of a pitstop for us between Colditz and Krakow but we wanted to see The Great Escape tunnels, Tom, Dick and Harry. It was a bit of a slog walking from the train station with our bags on a Sunday night, but we were welcomed with a couple of cold beers outside before bed!

“Hotel Okatex does not seem to exist, at least not what appeared on the website. Outbuildings only.”

Breakfast is a standard European fare, decent selection of cold meat and cheese. Fresh bread, fruit juices and some hot dishes. Dinner menu very good, very fine Goulash soup. My room was perfectly OK considering the price, so no complaints.

There is a beautiful garden around the hotel and the location is quite good and there is also a restaurant and bar. The personnel are ok.

The room was pretty, the bathroom was ok. We could leave our car in the parking even after checking out and visit the town on foot which was comfortable.

“Worst hotel I’ve ever been in”

Staff entered our room without permission even though we screamed for them to not open the door. They opened our LOCKED door without knocking or asking for permission to enter. The mattress was dirty, stained with blood. The uncomfortably small shower made the whole bathroom wet, due to a lack of any kind of bathroom curtain. The shower gel came in a big tub that was used by previous guests. The blanket found in the closet smelled like pure dust, which indicates that it laid in the closet for many months without a wash. The room was claustrophobically small and there were no window curtains, we had to improvise in order to have a little privacy.

Good location, good enough size for a singe traveler.

The staff was very rude and did not speak English, very old rooms not clean.. Very small rooms also...

great location in the villa park. this is not the first time I have stayed here, very happy.
