A lovely renovated house. Very clean and comfortable. A great nights sleep, great breakfast and very friendly owners with excellent eco principles. Our bicycles were stored for us. Good recommendations for eating close by and also top tips on what to see in town.

“Perfect hotel”

The hotel has been carefully & tastefully restored from a family home to a stunning boutique hotel by the owners, Marga & Manuel. Our large room had two large and comfortable beds, a beautiful bathroom and all the conveniences you could wish for, including a fridge. The owners are the kindest & most welcoming hosts you could wish for, and we will never forget them. The breakfast was included in the price and was delicious and beautifully presented. The hotel is a 3 minute walk away from the bars and restaurants in the lovely Plaza Grande. Zafra is a hidden and well-kept gem of a historic market town on the ruta de la plata with a stunning church (the interior is quite special) and the old gates of the town. We only stayed one night on our way from Santander to Malaga but would like to come back and stay for longer one day.

“Beautiful and charming boutique hotel.”

The hotel (I'm not sure how many rooms, but I'd imagine no more than 5 or 6)is set in an old house which has recently been renovated; it has a lovely, relaxed ambience. My room was really charming; so different in look and style to the usual, but with all the expected comforts. Marga and her husband, who run the hotel and appear to do all the work connected to it, are wonderful hosts. They are unfailingly friendly, helpful and attentive; giving good advice about the town and it's facilities/attractions; even dropping this guest to the station for my early train (gracias, otra vez). Also, it can be seen from the measures taken that they have set up the hotel with a strong eye on sustainability and care for the environment. The breakfast was filling and consisted of tasty local produce (with a special mention for the delicious homemade honey). I really hope that this hotel is well supported and goes from strength to strength.

Super friendly and helpful owners. Great location for exploring Zafra on foot. Comfortable, air conditioned bedroom with terrace. We were able to park directly in front of the property. The breakfast was superb! Recommend highly!

“A perfect choice for a short stay exploring the area, or even passing through… won’t disappoint”

This choice was mostly based on location as it fitted well with my journey timing, but I was so delighted with the warm welcome and friendliness of the staff. The hotel is small, but comfortable and spotless. The town has a lovely central square only a 5 minute walk away with plenty choice of food and drink venues. Breakfast was lovely: local style, fresh and served with care… and plentiful!

This lovely little hotel is very eco conscious. Very close to everything in Zara, comfortable, well thought out rooms. Great breakfast. Above all extremely friendly couple who own and run the hotel could not have been more kind and generous with their time when we arrived in need of medical assistance. Highly recommend Casa Luna, will stay again.

Great location - it was an easy and very pleasant stroll into the centre of Zafra, which is full of charm and historic interest. The couple running the hotel are wonderful: friendly, helpful, and very keen to provide an excellent service. Their ecological commitment is to be applauded, too. The room, in a building which has been tastefully and sympathetically upgraded, retaining many original features, was very spacious, comfortable and quiet; advice about where to go in Zafra was much appreciated; breakfast was superb, with plenty of choice, including local organic fruit. We wished we could have stayed longer. The owners made this a very enjoyable visit.

The rom was spacious, clean, with large beds. The shower was larger than in many rooms of comparable size. The breakfast served included several kinds of toasts, croissants, jams, cheeses, avocado, honey, fruits. The hosts (owners) were super courteous and attentive throughout our stay.

A great location in a lovely town, so much to see and the Hotel is only a very short walk from the centre. The staff were extremely helpful and spoke very good English. Stylish, comfortable and decorated in an authentic style using natural materials. The breakfast was exceptional, despite being included in the booking price. By far the best I have had while travelling in Spain.

“Simply fabulous.”

The hotel was a complete surprise. Quaint and delightful. Situated 5 minutes walk from the very center of the old town with plentiful free parking. Our room was more than we hoped for, comfortable and fully equipped with hairdryer, TV, Aircon and a roof terrace with hammock and sofa. There was a small fridge and a safe for valuables. This hotel is family run, Marga and Manuel were very friendly and inviting and could not do enough to make sure our stay was perfect. Breakfast was fresh and very tasty. I cannot recommend this hotel anymore other than to say that for us it was perfect. We left refreshed and wishing we had booked for longer.

nice little hotel by husband and wife. they were very hospitable and helpful. free big parking space right in front of the hotel. hotel was nicely renovated, zen and modern. we booked the room with terrace which come with outdoor seatings and a hammock, where we watched the stars at night in the cool weather. the room was spacious and comfortable with nice finishing. breakfast was freshly prepared by the wife, with various toasts and croissants with variety of spreads and ham. there was also freshly squeezed orange juice which you wouldn’t get nowadays even in 5 star hotel. breakfast was definitely fresh and more than enough compared to a buffet spread. fantastic location with easy walking access to a lot of restaurants and center of town.

Breakfast was excellent, host made sure that we had good cooked eggs as well as normal options provided. Room was well appointed, with a lovely outside terrace area.
