Villa Nico is a smaller private hotel, situated in the peaceful part of Zadar (Diklo), near the coast, only 5 kilometres from the centre of the town. We were badly bitten by bed bugs. It was a very unpleasant experience — our whole bodies were itchy and covered with small red bites. Overall, it was a very poor experience.

“Worst holiday we’ve ever been in due to the misinformation from staff, substandard room and area.”
Hairdryer, tv, drawer, shavers light all broken. Tiny window at top of wall, no towels or toiletries provided even though website said there was. No daily housekeeping as stated. Hotel told us bus stop right outside but did not tell us the road was inaccessible the past two years due to construction so, in fact, it was 30 mins to nearest bus stop. Breakfast was freezing cold every morning. We actually changed our flights and came home early and notified reception of same however the manager claimed we didn’t. He also said my husband was rude when he absolutely wasn’t. Disgusting musty/mouldy smell in the room too and cracked sink. States beach outside but it’s a concrete promenade with steps into the water which I couldn’t access due to back issues. Just a horrible place. I’m waiting 5 days now for manager to reply to my last email.

Nice friendly staff and nice location. It's out of town, which is ok for the price, and right by the sea, literally across the road from the water, and our room had amazing sea views!

“Wonderfull stay”
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel: exactly as described, excellent value for money, comfortable rooms and a great location. What really stands out, however, is the outstanding service. We accidentally left our daughter’s cuddly toy behind, and the staff went above and beyond to find it and kindly sent it back to us in France. Such kindness and genuine care are truly rare and deeply appreciated. A huge thank you to the whole team — we highly recommend this hotel!
