Yuzawa Toei Hotel features Japanese-style rooms with public hot-spring baths and free Wi-Fi. “Fun and comfort in an out-of-season ski resort”
We stayed in a super kitsch character room (Toei produces anime so there's lots of merchandise in the hotel gift shop) in this ski resort hotel - it was out-of-season, but the ambience was still terrific, and despite the loud furnishings, we slept soundly listening to the gurgling river outside. The Hotel offers free drinks in their Lounge area, ping pong for hire downstairs, an onsen and much more. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet's fresh-made onigiri.

Location and bespoke pickup service. Breakfast and dinner was very large and filling. We had both the buffet format and the kaiseki sit down format. We did all our bathing primarily in the onsen which was lovely. The late closing time also helped. The location was great and is very walkable despite the little hill. Just bring crampons and a hiking stick to navigate the streets during high snow season and a torchlight to help drivers see you on the road even if its well lit. The staff were very helpful and the Yamato station on site was great for all the luggage forwarding needed.

“A short but very satisfying stay. Would highly recommend this hotel for a memorable experience on the Yuzawa ski slopes.”
Super location next to ropeway and ski slopes, big locker room area to allow for change of clothes and placement of snowboard bag, excellent staff who helped with purchase of ski lift passes and storage of luggage pre-check in and post-check in, thereby facilitating more time on the slopes. And the onsen was wonderful too.

Convenient location to ski lifts and many restaurants within walking distance. Good indoor and outdoor onsen The buffet breakfast has a good spread and variety. Staff were helpful and could communicate in English

Amazing ski in ski out next to Yuzawa Kogen doorway. Onsen was newly refurbished and clean. Water temperature was nicely moderate (not too hot like other onsens) in both indoor and open air rottenburo. Breakfast was extravagant in variety. As was the dinner buffet (worth trying for one night) as well as the sake selection at dinner.

this is our second time staying in this hotel. Although the room is 1980s style, it is very clean and very spacious, which is very helpful to us (in particular the ski clothing takes up a lot of spaces). food and onsen are good.
