Overview
Boasting natural hot spring baths and hot tubs, Yuzawa New Otani is located just a 5-minute walk from Yuzawa Kogen Ski Resort. JR Echigo-Yuzawa Shinkansen (bullet train) Station is a 7-minute walk away. Free Wi-Fi is available for all area. The hotel offers both Japanese-style rooms with tatami (woven-straw) flooring and Western rooms fitted with beds. All rooms come with a flat-screen TV, a fridge and an en suite bathroom. Yukata robes/nightwear and an electric kettle with tea bags are also included. New Otani Yuzawa provides ski equipment hire and bicycle rental services on site. A female-only spa is available on site. Karaoke facilities and a gift shop are available. There are 11 ski resorts in the area within a 20-minute drive from the New Otani Yuzawa. Guests can use free shuttles operated by the resorts, which stop right in front of the hotel. For breakfast, a Japanese set meal or an international buffet can be enjoyed at the dining room (guests cannot choose).

Very convenient location, beautiful facilities and helpful staff. Breakfast buffet had a variety of foods and was a good start to our day. If we ever need accommodation in Echigo Yuzawa again, I'll be looking for availability here at Yuzawa New Otani first.

“Spacious room and good location”
The location is quite near to Yuzawa train station with many restaurants nearby. The hotel offers free shuttle service from the hotel to Yuzawa train station every 20 minutes which is very nice! Breakfast is good with local cuisine. The onsen is spacious and it rotates between daytime and night. The room is very spacious as well. The facilities are a little old although quite well maintained. The staff is very friendly. He tried his very best to communicate to me in English.

authentic Japanese stay and accommodation. we even nuded up and embraced the onsen culture. naked in a hot outdoor onsen while catching snow flakes was quite surreal.

“Convenient family trip”
I liked the location, breakfast and how easy it was to use the blackcat service, check in and check-out. It's very convenient that it was near the shinkansen and a 7-11. We had extra futons which allowed us to make the beds thicker and more comfy for the three of us.
