Place was very well maintained despite the age, staff were very friendly, onsen was very good especially after a whole day of snowboarding, location was very close to train station but you have to pull your luggage up a very steep slope. Highly recommended!

“Nice charming old hotel for ski holiday”
Great location. You can see the hotel from the Echigo Yuzawa Station West Exit. There are a lot of restaurants near the hotel. It has both indoor and outdoor onsen which my family enjoyed very much. Breakfast is good although after the 3rd day one can get tired of the same food (we stayed there for 5 nights). Having said that, it is still our favourite hotel at Echigo Yuzawa. Buffet dinner is great. Lots of variety including sashimi and wayu beef.

“Our Best Experience in a Japanese Hotel”
Location is unbeatable, just a short walk from the train station and to restaurants. Our Japanese room was huge! We loved the space and the view of the mountains from the living area and balcony. The bedroom is a good size for 2 futons. The 2 wardrobes also provided ample space :) Large breakfast spread. A good selection of dishes and sides. It would be nice if they offered sliced bread and yogurt too. All the hotel staff were polite and provided good assistance. We really enjoyed the onsens too!
