Boasting and classic Japanese ambience, Yufuin Santoukan provides traditional accommodation just a 5-minute drive from JR Yufu Station. Fitted with tatami (woven-straw) flooring and traditional futon bedding, each room comes with a flat-screen TV and a fridge. Guests can unwind in the seating area with a low table and comfortable cushions. Some rooms feature a private open-air hot spring bath. A traditional Japanese multi-course dinner, prepared using fresh seasonal ingredients and famed local Bungo beef, is served in guestrooms. Traditional breakfast is also served in the room. I had a wonderful and memorable stay at the ryokan. Our room attendant, Yuka, was warm, friendly, and attentive, making my stay exceptionally comfortable. Her service was truly outstanding. Koga at the front desk also made me feel very welcome and was incredibly helpful in arranging the shuttle car. Together, they made our stay especially memorable. My compliments to the chef for the intricate menu—the food presentation was truly a form of art.

The dinner and breakfast were excellent. They tried their best to accommodate our needs and special requests. The beds (tatami) are very comfortable. The staff are very friendly and provide best service. We were lucky to have Aryu to serve us!

Excellent service especially from the attendant Mariko! She was super attentive to our needs and always answer our questions with a smile. Only 11 rooms so everyone will definitely be well taken care of. Food was excellent in terms of quality and spread. 4 onsens to choose from + private in room onsen. Futons were comfortable as well. Location couldnt be better, located in the middle of popular tourist streets. Will definitely return if in Yufuin again.

“Quaint ryokan”
The location is excellent and great to have parking. Although the property is dated, the rooms are very clean and the beds very comfortable. We had our.own onsen outside in our garden and that was fabulous. The meals were excellent and our hostess Ayuna was an absolute delight. Definitely recommend this property

Hotel is located within walking distance to Kinrin Lake and Floral Village. The staff is friendly and helpful. Hotel do provide free shuttle service from train station.

“Exceptional!!!”
The place is fantastic. Worth every dollar spent on. The place is nice. The staff was super friendly. The service is awesome. It got free parking. Meals are incredible. I booked a room with private hot spring and I did not regret it. The staff was exceptionally helpful with everything I asked. Definitely exceed my expectations. Highly recommend staying at this place for a night or two in Yufinin.

It was very prepared services, and all of staffs were very kind and helpful. Especially, their Kaiseki contents were extraordinary and well distributed for nutritionally. Also, it was very tasty. I can always go back there again whenever a chance comes.
