the ryokan is conveniently located in the heart of where all the action is at. staff was extremely friendly. we arrived by taxi and the staff was already unloading our luggage from the boot before we even alighted from the car, which says a lot. food was great - the flavours were light but wholesome. the room was spacious and spotless. overall, a great stay.

Food was good but service could be better. I have already informed the ryokan before my stay that I do not eat raw foods especially sashimi. I had to wait a little longer for the raw fish to be boiled. I was hoping that I could have dinner that did not have raw foods. The staff were very kind and tried to explain in English as much as they know.

“Near Yunotsubo Street”

The hotel is conveniently located within close proximity to Yunotsubo Street. It offers three private onsen facilities, including two open-air baths and one indoor bath. In addition, there are separate public onsen facilities for both male and female guests. All onsen facilities are well-maintained and provide a highly enjoyable experience. The staff are courteous and provided a comprehensive introduction to the hotel facilities upon our arrival. The mattresses are very comfortable and the breakfast is of excellent quality. We checked out at around 9:00 AM and requested to park our car until 12:00 noon so that we could explore the surrounding area. The hotel kindly accommodated this request

“Superb, ryokans as they should be”

I mean, an outstanding experience on the whole line. My room was great, much bigger than I even expected. Food was awesome and the staff were super welcoming and keen on me feeling comfortable. Since I could only speak elementary Japanese, I really appreciated the staff trying with Japanese first and then adding bits in English where I couldn’t understand them (as I have asked them myself). Also, the area is super quiet at night and you can sleep like a baby. 本当にありがとうございました！

This Ryokan is situated just off the main road and close to Lake Kinrin. It has only 11 rooms, which makes it very personal. I had the most friendly young lady, her name was Erika san, that showed me to the room, told me about the use of the private onsen and also served me a beautiful, delicious Kaiseki dinner and breakfast. The best experience on my trip, regarding Ryokans and hospitality!

Good location. The food was delicious and with beautiful setting, and the hotel staff was very friendly and could communicate in English which making things easier for us when our family members had special requirements in food and luggage delivery.

Everything is perfect, the house owner is very kind and sweet, also the hot spring is awesome not to mention the dinings are great. Will come back and stay here again.
