Excellent ryokan with private onsen. The kaiseki dinner/breakfast is a must do if you ask me. The prosperity is around 15 minutes on foot from the station and nearest konbini.

Staffs were very hostile and dinner and breakfast were very delicious. The quality of hot spring water is the best of the best. We really enjoyed the hot spring.

Space & staff service

The room was very spacious, and having a large window facing Mt. Yufu was a wonderful surprise. As soon as we entered the room, we were greeted by a pleasant tea aroma, which immediately made us feel relaxed and happy.

The hotel is different from the usual one as all the rooms are like villa type which is individual and has indoor and outdoor bath in each room. As our rooms all included dinner and breakfast, we really enjoyed them as they are delicious and fresh ingredients. The staff are friendly and helpful. As the hotel is somewhat up the hill, so the staff are kind enough to pick up and drop off us from Yufuin station. Also I need to mention is I booked 3 twin rooms for my family, the hotel upgraded my room to Royal suite which is really big and fancy. The public baths both inside and outside are really big. I will definitely stay in this hotel when I go to Yufuin again.

They have both Japanese and Enlish speaking staff are available, it was good for the ones who can not fluently speak Japanese. In addition, they provide the in-villa check in and it was good to be informed on the facilities and understand.

Lovely stay at a traditional Ryokan. The private onsen was lovely with a view at Mt Yufu. The food was delicious and the staff was very accommodating! Great location

“Lovely ryokan for a couple but with lots of space and great food.”

This is one of the best ryokans that we stayed at. The beds and pillows were so comfortable and the dinner and breakfast was awesome. We also really liked the lounge where there was free alcohol/coffee/tea/some snacks that you can chill in. The location is about a 20min walk from the city center and it takes you along a nice canal. They also have a shuttle but we preferred to walk. The private onsen was also really good as normally we would be separated as a couple in the public onsens. Will definitely be back.

All the staff are friendly and helpful. They did a swap on our meal when we mentioned 2 pax dont consume beef. 2 Nepalese staff (Bijaya and another whom I forgot to get their name) are helpful and friendly too. Shuttle service available to yufuin station. Room was spacious and the whole environment was zen. Food was good very delicate. Love that onsen is within our room we can soak in anytime. Our most memorable stay at Kyushu.

“Recommended Ryokan with Private Onsen”

This hotel offers a luxurious ryokan experience. The room is spacious, and the amenities are complete. The highlight for me was the private onsen — there were both a semi-outdoor one and a fully outdoor one, located next to each other. It was truly relaxing and enjoyable to soak in the rotenburo. The kaiseki dinner was superb and made me really full. The breakfast was also delicious, with a smaller portion compared to dinner. I also liked having a private room to enjoy my meals. There were some foreign staff members who could communicate in English, which was very convenient for me.

“Our First Time in Yufuin ryokan . And Thank you, Mr.Nepali staff”

It was my first visit to Yufuin, and I came here with my parents for a family trip. Our two-night stay at this ryokan was truly unforgettable — one of the most special experiences we’ve ever had. The room was in excellent condition, and the view was simply breathtaking. The sight of Mt. Yufu through the large window was absolutely stunning. The private onsen in the room was fantastic, with both indoor and outdoor baths, and we could even adjust the water temperature to our liking. The TV supported YouTube and phone mirroring, which was a nice touch. We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner twice, and each meal in our private dining room was exceptional. Most importantly, the service was outstanding. Every staff member was kind and attentive, but I especially want to mention Mr. Nepali, whose thoughtful and detailed service made our stay even more special. We had a wonderful time here, and I highly recommend this ryokan to anyone visiting Yufuin.
