The interior design was beautiful, with a strong local character and great attention to aesthetics. The onsen was excellent and very relaxing, and the food was beautifully presented and delicious. The bed was extremely comfortable — it was my first time sleeping on tatami mats, and I was pleasantly surprised by how spacious and cozy the room felt. The staff were warm and welcoming, making us feel well taken care of throughout our stay. The location was also very convenient, just a 5–10 minute walk to the town center.

Location was great, about 12 min leisurely (and scenic) walk to the main street. If you drove, the parking near the main stretch was a nightmare for parking. So park at the hotel and go on foot afterwards. Breakfast included a okayu (porridge) station which was a nice change. We booked a room without a private shower, so the option was to use the big public bath or the assigned private family bath. We only used the private family bath and it met our expectations. The hotel garden was well manicured and tranquil, took many pretty photos. Staff were kind and professional .

The esthetics, comfort and view. The private onsen was outstanding. Staff was so welcoming too.

Facilities were beautiful very immersed in the traditional Ryokan atmosphere. Food was great, service was fantastic and onsen facilities were superb.

The serenity of the environment made the stay very relaxing and tranquil. Highly recommended for those visiting Yufuin.

Great location. Walk distance to the station as well as the famous walking street of Yufuin. Value for money regards on dinner & breakfast. It was exactly a fantastic experience in Japan together with Onsen bathing.

Loved the stay, we opted for meals (dinner and breakfast) and I would 100% recommend it as the quality and experience are amazing. We tried 2 of the onsens, and both were great, I'd recommend going at night and also early in the morning as the vibes are different.

Staff members are all super friendly. Both dinner and breakfast are very delicious and of the highest standard. The room itself is fantastic and full of character, also very clean and comfortable too. Private bathhouses are also amazing.
