“Excellent Japanese experience with Kaiseki and onsen”

Everything was phenomenal and beyond my expectations, to finally experience an authentic onsen in a town with Mt Yufu in the backdrop is a memory I’ll have forever with my partner! The staff were pleasant and amenities were very clean and quiet, while giving also a romantic secluded getaway feeling.

“Beautiful traditional ryokan with modern facilities. Friendly staff.”

We stayed in a room with a private bath. The room was very big with separated sleeping area from the main tatami mat. We stayed with a child which was great because we could have family baths in our own private onsen. This also allowed us to adjust the temperature of the onsen but turning the hot water taps on and off. The facility was very beautiful and modern. Staff were great.

Lovely gardens, wonderful meals!

Breakfast and dinner provided was exceptional, a great experience to have traditional Japanese style dinner and breakfast. Outdoor public onsen is very nice. Mini self-service bar at night in the hotel lobby was great for friends to chill and enjoy.

Building and room was really nice. The room had a private outdoor onsen which was beautiful. Big public use onsen. Very good variety and quantity of food for the booked breakfast and dinner.

The service was exceptional. Special thanks to the hotel manager for helping in every inquiry that we had. Only a short walk from main attractions. Food was very delicious with a lot of variety. The room was amazing (open air bath) - it allow us to take the time to relax and enjoy the onsen experience. Thank you baien!

“Amazing food, comfortable room, friendly staff, scenic view”

Amazing. The sunset view on a good day is truly an amazing one. I managed to get a seat for dinner facing the sunset and wow, the sunset and the dinner is one that i will never forget. The private bath that i book was big enough and the public bath was also very impressive. I’m very happy i managed to book this place. The lounge time after dinner where they serve soft drinks is a good time to relax before and after bathing time.

Group onsen holiday experience. The hotel was lovely and quiet. Dinner and breakfast that was served was great, along with the open bar offered for the guests later in the evening. The tatamis were extremely comfortable but the duvet was a bit too thick. The onsen was nice and relaxing with both an outside and inside portion. Family onsens are also available but they were always in use, so we never got a chance to use it.

Family bath is always occupied, better to have a reservation. Meal service need to be improve, need to remove dirty dish before serving next dish.

This place is AMAZING. and it deserves all the high ratings! Kaiseki was just nice, and not overly filling as some of the previous ryokans stayed in. The view is AMAZING, the onsen was amazing!

Love the onsen, great property with comfortable room. It is not cheap but we think it is worth every cent with the half board package.
