I was definitely surprised when I reached the accomodation - you get an entire unit for yourselves. The price is fairly reasonable as you have very limited options in the area but it is definitely value for money for what you get. It's a two storey house and equipped with all the necessary amenities and even additional stuff like washing and drying machine, cooking and dining utensils. This is definitely the place to go if you are staying with a group or if you are staying for several days. The owner is super friendly. She will visit when you check in and kindly explain everything you need to know in person. She is very easy to talk to and replies fast, usually within an hour whenever you send message to her via whatever booking platform you are using. For those using public transport, the place is within walking distance of bus stop no. 114 Yudomari. For connectivity to nearby onsens since this is most likely your reason for staying in this area, it takes about 10 minutes to walk to Yudomari onsen and about 15 minutes to walk to Hirauchi Kaichu Onsen. This place is easily one of my most enjoyable and recommended stays in my entire trip. You can get all cozy, convenience and privacy at value price.

Very clean and offers what we need, it has 1 bathroom, 2 toilets (which is perfect for a group stay), washer and drier and a car park. The space is huge, we have the whole house for ourselves (a group of 3 only). Get to enjoy the experience staying in an old traditional Japanese style house, sleeping on futons on the 2nd floor in 1 big bedroom. The host is very friendly and attentive.

The house was very spacious! We were a group of 3, but you could have many more members in your party before it felt like not enough space. Everything was comfortable and well explained. Lots of space and equipment in the kitchen for us to cook with, plus there was some food available for purchase on a table in the living room should we have not been able to get to a supermarket in time. The owner was also fabulous. She had seen that we had purchased some fireworks and the next day there was a bucket in the living room for us to put water in to put them out safely!

House was clean and spacious. The host was friendly, she made checking in very easy and has made everything so convenient at the house, with good cooking facilities and condiments you can use. She even came in each morning while we were out to change the towels (and let us know she would do this ahead of time). You can see a great sunset from the balcony upstairs.

I had an amazing stay at this spacious house on the south coast of Yakushima! If you’re planning to visit, I definitely recommend coming by car since there’s a free parking spot available, which makes things super convenient. - Beautiful and cozy house: The house is stunning inside and out, with a warm, welcoming vibe. The garden is also really well maintained and adds to the charm. - Spotlessly clean: Everything was incredibly clean when I arrived, which made the stay very comfortable. - Fast WiFi: The internet is surprisingly fast, which was a great bonus. - Affordable food options: The house offers food you can buy for just 100–200¥, including ramen, curry, rice, and snacks - Great location: A supermarket is only 2 minutes away on foot, and there are two hot springs (onsens) and a beach within walking distance. - Spacious and well-equipped: The house can accommodate up to 7 people and has two bathrooms, which is really convenient. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook. - Friendly owner: The owner is incredibly kind and speaks enough English to communicate easily. They’ve also prepared some English translations and information to help you out.

A spacious house with convenient access to many Yakushima hikes and sights, especially if traveling by car. Highly responsive and kind communication. The kitchen was very well equipped with a wide range of cooking utensils and basics (oil, salt) that made it easy to prepare meals. Felt like home immediately!

1. Good location in the south of Yakushima near the two seacoast hot springs, also good to just walk around the town. 2. Welcoming host, was very friendly and passionately answering with our questions :)) 3. The kitchen was fully equipped with basic spices.
