“Nice, comfy stay & good transport connections”
Nice small room with TV, fridge and kettle, 2 single beds - 1 each side the doors (can't connect them for fire safety reasons). This room was 1 of 8 units within the octagonal outside building - rooms were shaped as triangles fitting the octagonal shape - wide side from the entrance door and narrowing down to point in bathroom - shower with splash curtain, toilet and basin. The octagon building was close to the main hotel building which had additional rooms, grocery shop, place to eat - burgers were really good so definitely try them (local catering business was operating small restaurant and serving breakfast, lunch and dinner), bus terminal waiting room, some other small shops. Next to the main building were 4 bus stops that were connecting the surrounding areas so it was easy to get to Ålesund or other places from there. The place was quiet and the scenery was great. A short distance from the hotel was the sea and opposite of the hotel were majestic rocky mountains peaking over local houses. NB: rooms in the octagon building are good for 1 to 2 people for short term stay when you only need a place to shower and rest after daily trips or hikes (that was my case and the reason why I chose the smaller room). If you seek more comfort or planning to spend more time in the room I suggest booking the rooms in the main hotel building.

If you have a car, this hotel has an excellent location with Kiwi grocery store in the basement. The breakfast is very good with egg and bacon in addition to cold dishes.

Reasonably priced accommodation in a great location for exploring the local area. Frequent local buses in all directions on the doorstep. Good quality supermarket on site. Great little cafe serving unlimited breakfast The staff team seemed to be small in number but they were well motivated And I loved the coffee from the machine on the landing

If you have landed late at the airport or have an early morning flight, this is the perfect option. Just 7-8 mins drive from the airport with an incentive of the view of the surrounding North Sea
