The host was lovely, she showed us everything, was very enthusiastic and friendly, and the house had all the facilities we could need. Everything was beautifully decorated, clean and pleasant. The living areas and beds were comfortable and the host even left us a beer, a nice bottle of red wine, some cola, water and crisps/snacks on arrival and coffee, tea and other condiments and items were available if you were self catering. All in all this was a wonderful stay, in a wonderful house, in a beautiful area, and we all enjoyed ourselves so much.

Perfect easy location to find, park and visit Ypres. Marie Rose was such a welcoming friendly host that we immediately felt relaxed and welcome. The house was so comfortable and well appointed. It had everything we needed.

What an amazing place … spotless, beautifully appointed, excellent kitchen equipment and amount of cutlery etc. small details such as wine / soft drink in fridge. Probably the best apartment we’ve stayed in overall. Location short walk to Ypres centre and Menin Gate. Lovely walks around town walls and easy free parking a few minutes walk away. Fast charger in the car park as well which was perfect for us . So much to see and do … fully recommend. Many thanks to the owner for her thought/ communication and attention to detail. Would definitely return if in Ypres again.

Great location and House. Garden super with Swifts overhead and a Blackbird nest. If like us you enjoy birdwatching the Verdonken Weide nature park 5 minutes walk away is great.

The house was lovely and every possible thing you could need was catered for. Beer, wine and snacks when arriving.

The property was self catering so no meals were provided but the kitchen was very well equipped with everything needed to prepare meals. The location was excellent, in a quiet area, although the street was quite busy with traffic it was not heard inside the property. The house was beautifully furnished and the linen and towels were good quality. It also had a lovely little courtyard garden. We loved everything about the house and it felt like home away from home. We would definitely stay there again.

“Amazing Property, Great Location, Fantastic Host”

Beautiful town house just inside the city walls of Ypres/Leper. We chose Marie-rose because we were driving from England in the evening and wanted somewhere easy to find. We were able to park as soon as we arrived, Marie Rose let us have a parking permit for inside the city wall and also provided some welcome treats. The house is gorgeous, decorated to a very high standard. On the top floor there are two large bedrooms, one double, one twin; the middle floor has a luxurious bathroom with shower and a good-sized living room. The ground floor has a well-equipped kitchen/diner which is part Glass roofed, and also a study. Wi-Fi was good and there was also TV with the main English channels. There is a small garden at that back, plenty big enough for the four of us to sit in. The house is in a fantastic location about 10 minutes walk from the Menin Gate and Market Square, the walk along the top of the walls is lovely. The Parking is restricted to 2hrs during the day Mon-Sat, but there is an unrestricted free car park just outside the Gate, 5 mins walk for the house; it seemed very safe, I was quite happy to leave our car there all weekend, as were numerous others. Ypres is a lovely Belgian town, plenty of cafes, restaurants bars, and shops. Last post at Menin gate, 8pm is very moving and worth seeing. We visited The "In Flanders Fields" museum and also "Passchendaele 1917 Museum". "Passchendaele 1917 Museum" is probably better for children & teens as it has the replica bunkers and trenches along with walks and memorial gardens. "In Flanders Fields" does allow you to go to the top of the clock tower but is more suited to adults. Had a great stay, would certainly stay at Marie-rose again.

Lovely little town house with everything provided and lots of welcome goodies. Beautiful small garden too.

We went to explore some of the WW1 memorials. Excellent location, everything thought of and parking nearby. Very comfortable and clean. House was modern and very nicely appointed. It is 3 floors so consider this when booking. Maire-Rose was an excellent friendly host.

“A Gem of a place to stay in Ypres”

We had a wonderful stay at Mansion Rose with friends the accommodation was excellent catering for all our needs, our host went out of her way to make our stay so enjoyable thank you.
