“outdated and dirty”

We absolutely love Yosemite and were so excited about our trip, but unfortunately, our experience with this property was far below expectations. The house is horribly outdated and in dire need of renovation and basic maintenance. First, we had issues with the TV. With four remotes and no instructions, we managed to figure out how to turn it on, but the Netflix app doesn’t work—not because of a lack of an account, but because the TV’s operating system is too old. This was frustrating, especially since streaming services were one of the advertised features. The condition of the property was unacceptable. There was dust and dirt everywhere, spider webs in nearly every corner and on ceiling lights, and light switches were broken. The bathroom light flickered constantly, and there was mold between the tiles. Hair was stuck to the walls, and we even found hair in the fridge—this was incredibly unhygienic and disturbing. The bathtubs were unusable because they didn’t have plugs to hold water, and they were filthy, with hair visibly clogging the drains. The "fireplace" turned out to be nothing more than an electrical unit, which was misleading based on the description provided. The house as a whole needs significant renovations, and we feel completely scammed given the price we paid. For this price point, we expected far better. Upon discovering documentation in the kitchen about an upcoming compulsory auction for the property, it became clear why no effort had been made to improve or maintain the home. We are leaving this detailed review to explain our disappointment and to warn future guests about the condition of this property. This was not a pleasant experience, and we cannot recommend it to anyone.

Loved the location of the property which was nestled in a quiet neighborhood. We were lucky enough to have snow on the first night which was simply amazing. Property was warm and cozy, with all the amenities we required.

Location is absolutely a plus.

Location was excellent, halfway between Yosemite Valley and Mariposa Grove, with good access to Glacier point. The inside of the property was comfortable, new carpet throughout, the kitchen was a bit tired but well equipped. It was spacious for the 2 of us, but the indoor area would be a squeeze for the 6 people it claims to accommodate.

Clean and spacious accommodation, good location, everything we needed. Owners are very friendly.

The property is in an incredible location right inside the national park. Perfect for getting an early start to beat the crowds and be immersed in nature. The property was clean, and well equipped in the kitchen and we had none of the issue’s reported by previous comments- would really recommend!

The place itself was cozy and warm and we enjoyed our stay there. The location is pretty good in winter it took us about 40 min to drive to the valley.

Good for everything except for the miuse

Great recommendation for families with kids and baby. We really like the cabin everything is complete inside.

“Wonderful well appointed accommodation in the heart of Yosemite forest”

A wonderful stay in the heart of the pine forests of Yosemite. Whilst surrounded by nature, though we never felt isolated with a number of rentals along the road in Yosemite West. Less than 30 min drive to both Glacier point and Yosemite Valley. Comfortable, spacious and very well appointed accommodation. Even though the outside looked a little rustic on approach, all the inside seemed recently renovated. Modern and very well appointed kitchen and bathrooms, very comfortable beds. The upstairs master bedroom is huge, 2 of the bedrooms with balconies / decks too. Particularly loved the private outdoor dinning terrace which we could light up at night, made for a wonderful evening family dining experience surrounded by the forest and nature after a big days hiking. Would definitely stay here again.
