“Happy stay.”
First time I’d stayed in a pub. Good breakfast with cooked options, cereal, tea/coffee/juice etc. super comfy beds. No issues with shower temperature/ pressure. Enough electric plug sockets, USB ports to use. Parking was great to have for day trips but easy stroll into to the centre of York. There was live music Friday evening but ended by 10pm so I didn’t find it an issue. Landlord was really friendly and helpful with any questions.

“Friendly, comfortable pub/hotel within 10 minutes walk of York city centre.”
Friendly and helpful manager. Lovely breakfast. lovely room with comfortable bed and bedside lamp so the lighting was perfect for any time of day. Nice shower. The pub itself is lovely - traditional pub but with a fun and friendly feel. It has a a pool table and games (draughts, kerplunk etc.) on the tables. Very nice atmosphere.

“Clean, convenient, affordable lodging”
Very nice location - a short walk through the city gate to the heart of York; many good pubs and restaurants nearby. Breakfast menu very diverse with lots of good options; very tasty. Rooms are rather basic but comfortable; bathrooms clean and fully erquipped.

Perfect location for visiting The Barbican. Food was lovely, room was spotless, staff were welcoming and the pub was full of character. We would stay again if visiting York. Parking was an added bonus!

“A Great little Hotel”
The location and a good selection of beers and Bar snacks, Also it's a must for anyone visiting the Barbican centre as its around 250 metres walk away.
