“Fantastic gem of a place to stay while exploring York”

I cannot recommend this enough. The rooms are chalet style, with easy parking just outside, and some outside space and seating with each room. In communicating around arrival and key collection was clear and concise, and the facilities were superb for the price point. The property is quiet, with rooms well set back from the road, but conveniently located for easy travel to York by car / park and ride.

Lovely peaceful place to stay, owner was helpful getting our key and letting us know about leaflets and the Chinese which was once the pub. Our room was very clean and tidy, selection of tea, coffee and bottled water. We found a local pub which was a 2 minute walk away. Beautiful location, very pretty and quiet and short drive to York. Enjoyed our stay.

1.No stairs to lug our cases up. 2. We could park just outside our room. 3. Although it was a motel room we were able to use the fridge, cutlery and crockery from the staff store room. 4. The New Inn Cantonese restaurant was just in front of the motel - very handy . 5. The community shop was only a “stone’s throw” away.

Straightforward accommodation. Good facilities. Clean. Adjacent to the New Inn which has an excellent Cantonese restaurant.

The Motel is in a lovely quiet village. The accomodation was clean and tidy and very well presented. The stone path leading up to the rooms were very pretty and had lovely flowers outside, also benches and chairs outside the rooms which was a nice touch. Met Carolyn once and she seemed very nice and helped us with connecting to the internet. The room was nice and cosy, the bathroom was a good size and it was pretty peaceful. There was a fridge in the staff room which was great if you were staying for a few day's as the Motel doesn't serve food. It was a good stay.

The owners are lovely nothing to much trouble the room is lovely. Furnishings are beautiful.

Room was spacious. The clothes cupboard is excellent. The location is great. Very close to busstop. Spacious bathroom with excellent water preasure and heat. Wifi was great because there is no mobile signal.
