Commitment to excellent hospitality has earned The Limes 4 stars and a Silver Award for guest accommodation. This family-run, Victorian house offers an award-winning breakfast and is a pleasant riverside walk from York city centre. The freshly cooked breakfast uses locally sourced produce, served in the elegant dining room. The Limes is also licensed to serve alcohol. Guests can also relax on comfy sofas, watch the lounge’s TV or listen to music. Each room at The Limes has an en suite shower room with heated towel rail, fluffy towels and Gilchrist & Soames toiletries. Rooms also have free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV with Freeview and an iPod docking station. A welcome tray in each room includes tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits, sweets and raisins. The Limes also offers free private parking.

This hotel is about a 15min walk away from the town where you will find all amenities, restaurants bars shops ect. York Town centre is a beautiful place to visit especially the shambles if you haven't been here before I would definitely recommend York brilliant for sightseeing too.

The place was in a great location short walk to the centre, also very clean and beautifully refurbished very recently, definitely recommend this place and would definitely come again also the staff was great 👍

Fantastic location for walking into York city centre. Currently not serving breakfast following a complete refurb but this was not an issue.

“Given the reviews online, this was very disappointing. It is not that sort of Guest House any more.”
The only thing we liked was the location. There is a bus to the centre just outside the door.

The proximity to the city of York. You can hop on a bus into the city. We had stayed before at this property and I guess we expected the same.
