“Best City Break Yet”

Beautiful Shepard’s hut with everything you needed for the perfect break! It was 5 miles out of York centre with a bus stop outside. Ubers were around 10-£15 too. Parking in York is very expensive. The hut was equipped with lots of glasses for us to use. It felt like a country escape break whilst still visiting a busy city. I loved the view of the river and York Marina. We didn’t get time to go to the waterfront Marina restaurant this time, but we will be back. Everything was seamless from start to finish and I feel very relaxed from this break. Thankyou Anna for being so helpful and letting us leave a car on check out day.

This little stay in the hut was the most beautiful stay, it was mine and my husbands 10 year wedding anniversary and we wanted to try somewhere a little different, the hut was absolutely beautiful. There was nothing more that was needed inside, was very well equipped, the bed was super comfortable. The view over the river was amazing, especially watching the sun set. We would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to visit York.

Such a cute and characterful place to stay! Beautiful and well equipped shepherds hut with everything needed for a short stay including a lovely log burner and provided materials for it. Friendly host only too pleased to text speedy info or replies to any queries. Gorgeous setting with views across the river, and in a quiet village. Good, basic but friendly pub within walking distance, and a superb dining facility at the sailing club just a short drive up the road. Easy to follow walks and interesting history around the area.

We spent 2 night here, it was very comfortable and cozy. Just what we were looking for. The hut was clean, well equipped and very inviting. The hut was in a lovely location and extremely close to the places we wanted to visit during our stay. We would definitely think about booking again if we are to visit York in the future.

Beautiful location. Very Clean had everything you needed. Warm and cosy inside. Enjoyed a cuppa sat outside looking at the river and all the boats going by.

This was our 3th stay at the hut it was just as good as our previous stay,the bed is so comfy,great little kitchen and good shower,it is so peaceful and relaxing,the view from the hut is stunning over looking the river ouse and york marina just a stones throw away,can't wait to return

It was in a stunning location and we loved watching amazing sunsets both nights. The property has absolutely everything you could need for a weekend away. So many lovely touches.

“Just beautiful”

The location was beautiful the Hut was very clean and well presented. Very quiet at night and great for looking at the stars as not much light pollution. Struggled finding the location with the postcode so use the "what three words" as that was spot on. Very short walk to the Hut from the road on a grassy area which could get muddy when wet. Overall really enjoyed the 2 days spent there.

Beautiful location and the hut itself was super cosy. View was stunning and our stay was really relaxing. Really minor short lived issue with the WiFi which was instantly sorted out and gave us a giggle while it was. Brilliant highly recommend, wouldn't hesitate to go back again.

This shepherds hut was so well decorated with really careful attention to detail of everything you would need for a holiday, we really liked how you could see an itinerary of what was provided before arrival and there were such lovely views of the river. Anna was so amazing when we needed a new battery and was right over in under ten mins to help us out, the hut was so clean and spacious. Really easy to drive into York which was a huge bonus 100% would stay again/recommend to others :)

It's a beautiful place in a stunning setting. I'd love to come back in Summer time where you could sit outside and enjoy breakfast while enjoying the surrounding views. Very peaceful and tranquil.
