The location was perfect. The staff were so friendly & the room was clean, spacious & very comfortable. The only thing I would say is that if your a light sleeper the room i was in probably wouldn't be the one for you as you could here the traffic but that comes from being so close to the road. But other than that it is a lovely place to stay and I will definitely stay there again.

“Quirky”

“Incredible and historical lodging in an atmospheric old pub”
Incredible location within the city walls which can be viewed from our garden facing bedroom. There are several old pubs, restaurants and cafes within metres. The cathedral is a mere short stroll leading to all the interesting streets in this compact city. A lovely characteristic and historical place to stay. Wonderful Yorkshire welcome from customer service led staff. Enjoyed a hearty and scrumptious dinner and lunch on an overnight stay. One night here is far too short.

“Absolutely fabulous!”
Love everything about the Fat Badger! I have stayed here before and love the old style building. It’s also right in the center and easy to get to. The lovely Debbie looked after us during our stay and we had such a laugh! I will be booking again on my next visit to York.
