Overview
A 20-minute walk from York city centre, The Apple House has a garden with play area, free Wi-Fi and a free DVD library to complement the DVD players found in the bedrooms. In the morning, a hearty full English breakfast is served. Many restaurants and bars can be found a 15-minute walk from the guest house. Each bedroom has an en suite power shower and free toiletries. The rooms also come with a flat-screen TV, tea/coffee making facilities and pine furniture. York Railway Station, where the Hogwarts Express steam train used in Harry Potter films can be seen in the summer months, is just half a mile away. The National Railway Museum is just a mile from The Apple House and there is free parking at the property.

I thought the location was very good, we found it perfect for our visit. It was a quick walk into town and a short taxi ride to the races. The hospitality was very nice, we were made to feel very welcome and they went out their way to please. We enjoyed the breakfast too, lots of choice of healthy options too.

“Great accomodation - excellent location, would recommend!”
The staff was incredibly friendly and very helpful - telling us about all the good places to go for dinner that weren't far away. The room was clean and comfortable and the facilities were all good. Great location too, everything was within a 15/20 minute walk.

Everything location to host to the room honestly it was perfect. Danielle and Tarquin are the best and extremely helpful. The breakfast was amazing. They went out of their way to help us and accommodate my daughter's breakfast needs.

It was absolutely fantastic the staff so friendly and helpful the directions are correct and very helpful making it easy to find from train station. Especially for first timers to York. The breakfast was amazing and our room was well re fill and clean and comfy. Absolutely staying here again.
