“Don’t book with Host & Stay”

I have no idea! I didn’t stay. Not because of Booking.com but because Host & Stay cancelled it because of a broken hot tub. The new place had a massive ANT infestation

Beautiful, very clean lodge in a quiet location on the park. Very spacious with everything you could want. Lovely outlook onto trees. Hot tub was a lovely treat too.

The facilities were good and the location is lovely. A generously proportioned place with good privacy for the outdoor deck. The short walk to the Plough Inn is well worth it as the food and atmosphere was lovely after a rainy walk..

“brilliant hideaway cabin!”

After reading mixed reviews, I was really sceptical about this holiday park however upon arrival it was stunning. The reception staff are helpful, polite and really do try accommodate as much as they can. The lodge itself is gorgeous inside. This particular lodge has everything we needed. the kitchen utensils are packed, with enough amenities to allow you to cook whatever you need. they don’t provide any food items except tea/coffee/sugars etc but there is an aldi up the road so that suited us fine. There was ample space for my husband and I and our four young children. the back garden area is safe for them to play around all within eye sight. and with two bathrooms, you’re really spoilt. the hot tub, was set at a perfect temp, they do say bring extra towels and they’re right. you do need extra towels. the hot tub was clean, and such a wonderful extra! honestly, with doubt about people being racist or it being dirty, we found the total opposite. our neighbours were so lovely they offered to have us round but we weren’t staying long enough! just to also point out, our deposit was returned within 2 days. so very happy with this also. thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

“It was a special stay”

We spent 2 wonderful days in this beautiful lodge celebrating our son's 18th birthday. Everything you need is here, very clean, modern and beautifully decorated lodge. We usually don't go back to the same places but I've already booked this one for next year.

Really cosy and spacious. Clean and warm. Plenty of accessories eg utensils and bedding.

It was beautiful. Better than the photos. Clean, spacious. Everything you’d need in the kitchen. Washing machine and cleaning supplies provided. Washing up liquid, mop, sweeping brush etc.

We loved everything about Sunbird lodge. It was beautifully furnished, decorated and very cosy. The hot tub was an added bonus to relax in after a busy couple of days in York and Whitby. We would definitely recommend this lodge to other families and couples wanting a little break away to York and the surrounding areas.

it was a beautiful lodge much better than it’s pictures. very stylish everything you would need for your stay and more. the site was well taken care of and the good on the on-site restaurant was amazing. overall a great stay will be booking again.
