The home was beautifully presented with everything we needed for a group of friends having a weekend away. The hosts were fantastic and responsive to requests and support prior to and during our stay. The rooms were spacious and beds super comfy. Would definatly visit again. Thank you.

The house was a spacious period property on a well managed historic estate. The main living room had plenty of seating. The bedrooms and bathrooms were great quality and very comfortable. The kitchen was well kitted out for larger groups and the dining room perfect for eating together and playing games. Nice space outside for garden chairs. Good public footpaths also on the doorstep and along the river.

This is a stunning property, with a lot of history, beautifully presented & in a lovely location. It is very well equipped & everything throughout was immaculate. The log fire made for cosy evenings. The surprise gift selection & helium balloons in the lounge for daughter's 40th birthday celebration weekend was very much appreciated. A nice touch & very thoughtful of the owners. As a 3 generations party of 10, we all loved our stay & will definitely be back

The house was very well equipped and had a lovely relaxed feel. We really appreciated the welcome basket (and the dog treats!) The hosts were very helpful when we realised we had forgotten birthday candies and brought us some. The frames with history of the house were really interesting too!

Lovely old character building, loved the info and pictures showing the history of the house. Really liked that every bedroom had its own bathroom with and lots with baths, love a bath. Also loved the real log fire, very festive and cosy.

Beautiful extremely spacious property set within beautiful gardens/grounds including a swimming pool, tennis court and croquet lawn. There are great photos around the house depicting its history and all the rooms are so clean and comfortable. The kitchen is extremely well stocked - absolutely no problem to prepare, cook and serve special occasions meals. The property was a great base for visiting many places of interest including York city just a short drive away and excellent shopping malls. Highly recommend especially for family gatherings.
