Greeted by Jayne, a very pleasant lady. Eggs, bread, butter milk,treat and condiment left for use. Clean and ready to start stay.Generally great house as described. The village was pretty with blossoming trees with little traffic . Local pub The Bell ,good food and friendly informative owners and staff. Fresh vegetables ,eggs, etc. on the street stall . For our purposes, perfect central location for York,Emmerdale ,Pickering all less than hour away . Bread van comes Sunday morning, just near the end of the road. Nearest local shop about 5 minutes drive .

Beautiful cottage, very clean and bright, great facilities. We absolutely loved our stay here. Quiet location as well.

Immaculately clean throughout, lovely garden, characterful cottage. Very well equipped, super comfy beds, lovely thoughtful touches such as hand wash, shower gel, and eggs, butter and bread on arrival.

Mistletoe Cottage was clean and very comfortable, the downstairs underfloor heating being an unexpected bonus! The hosts had thoughtfully provided some basic provisions (on top of the usual tea and coffee) to get us off to a good start. The cottage itself was charming and although we couldn't use it due to weather there was a nice little garden with seating. The village location was excellent, with easy access to York Park & Ride and nearby villages for all additional shopping needs. Off-street parking for two vehicles. Would stay there again.

Beautiful cottage in a great location. It was so cosy and clean and well equipped to make it feel like home from home. The hosts were also really lovely and provided a great information pack about local walks and restaurants etc during your stay. We went to celebrate my partner's 40th with my parents in law and took our 15 month old son and a cot, high chair and cutlery was provided. The photos of the cottage don't do it justice, it was even better in person and so spacious. We enjoyed our stay so much that we already discussed booking a return visit.

A lovely cosy stay on our way up to Scotland. It’s easy to get into York from Alne and the village is so pretty. Mistletoe cottage has everything you need and is lovely and cosy but spacious. We had our two teenagers with us and our third decided not to come last minute, but there would have been plenty of space.

Everything. Property was fantastic, lovely garden though it was winter so we did not sit outside! The village was beautiful and good location. We had an excellent stay. Really appreciated the Christmas tree and lights .

Lovely location, beautiful cottage which has obviously been well cared for. Very well equipped in terms of crockery etc as well as things like tea, coffee and sugar. The owners also left some bread, milk, eggs and butter which was a lovely touch. Fabulous pub round the corner, we enjoyed it so much that we went there for dinner on two of the three nights of our stay.

Mistletoe Cottage was the most beautiful place to stay. Everywhere was spotless and so tastefully decorated. Our hosts provided some well appreciated and essential treats on arrival. The whole cottage was extremely comfortable and cosily warm. Jayne met us on arrival to let us in and was easily contactable if we needed her. We will definitely be returning and would highly recommend it.

Lovely cottage in a lovely quiet village. Host was welcoming and had thought of everything you could possibly need. Lovely welcome package of milk, butter, eggs. Cottage was beautifully decorated and was just lovely. The bed was so comfortable.
