Overview
Middletons is a collection of six historical, Grade-II listed building situated around a secluded courtyard garden in the heart of York city centre, 800 metres from York Rail Station and York Minster. It offers complimentary access to a fitness centre with a gym. The hotel is 7 minutes' drive from York Racecourse. Individually decorated, the en suite rooms have free high-speed WiFi, a TV and tea and coffee-making facilities as basic facilities. A fresh breakfast is available every morning and the modern Sawmill restaurant offers a varied menu throughout the day. Guests can also enjoy a drink on one of two sunny terraces or in the hotel gardens. The hotel is just 5 minutes' walk to the main shopping areas and main attractions. The famous Grand Opera House and York Dungeons are just a short stroll away. Secure on-site parking is available at an extra cost.

“Enjoyable and relaxing but expensive in some areas”
Room had a lounge area as well as bedroom and shower room which was a nice surprise and had large tv in both rooms Could have provided more variety in the complimentary tea /coffee offerings as only one packet of biscuits each person and one bottle water between two people which for the cost of the accommodation was a bit poor Location excellent as close enough to town and rail station and sightseeing for walking Breakfast good and fair price overall

“Not as good as previous stays”
We have stayed at Middleton's four times now due to the location, as it's only a few minutes walk from the bridge into the main centre, the pricing is cheaper than some hotels in the area and the size of our room was great this time.

The hotel was perfectly located, close enough to walk to the City Centre but on a quiet road away from the busiest parts. The accommodation was great and every member of staff we interacted with was both friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.

“Perfect Stay”
The Staff were all so welcoming and we felt relaxed as soon as we arrived. Room was perfect: spotlessly clean and had all amenities, including a fridge with fresh milk. Breakfast was lovely.

We stayed here for our anniversary and overall had a lovely experience. The hotel itself is beautiful, very clean, and our room was extremely comfortable. It’s clear a lot of care goes in to maintaining the hotel and we really enjoyed our stay.
