We felt the property was an excellent size for the price of the property and is very spacious. The decor is excellent and has been fantastically renovated to a high standard. The kitchen is very well equipped and contains everything you would need to cook for up to 6 people. The location is fantastic and within a short working distance to centralYork, with bus stops nearby as well as a few minutes walk from York train station. The rooftop was the highlight for us and we spent our evenings up there taking in the surroundings and amazing views.

Everything! It was fantastic! The only thing we wished for was better access to the roof.

This was the most unique accommodation that I have stayed in. Amazing history, huge rooms, fantastic facilities, very helpful owners. Superb location. A private rooftop giving excellent views. Wonderful.

Beautiful old tower with period furniture but modern kitchen. Bedrooms very comfortable and bath wonderful. Good water pressure in showers. We loved the upper deck which had a great view of the city centre and the river but yet peaceful. Met at property and given a wee tour which was very informative. Enjoyed watching the rowers in the morning. Very handy for anyone Travelling by train as only a 10min walk to property. Parking a bonus if you need it. Surrounded by great restaurants and bars. Nola a must.

The property was a beautiful. Very well equipped, clean and comfortable. It was very central to everything in York. (Particularly liked the nice touch of leaving dressing gowns and slippers!)

The history of the tower is fascinating and it had been developed into a comfortable holiday home in a way which really made the most of it. Also the location is perfect.

“Magic in York”

The most magical place to stay in York, and the only place to stay at New Year. The Minster is visible from the roof terrace, along with citywide panoramic firework displays at midnight. Truly magical. It’s warm and cosy and the historical character features are insane, all whilst still providing all modern facilities and excellent WiFi.

History associated with the building was impressive, the location was superb. Secure parking was reassuring.

Everything from the minute we arrived was fabulous we booked as a family as we where attending a family wedding and location to venue was minutes room where huge and Everything we could have needed was already provided roof top terrace and enclosed back garden where also fantastic and very well used by us with the weather we had added bonus with us being from Scotland

The location is outstanding. I couldn't ask for better .Love views from the roof terrace, and the rooms were spacious and clean.

If you want to mark a significant Birthday by staying in a unique and exceptional building, look no further! Although very close to York town centre, we spent a significant amount of time in the tower, which is both grand and very comfortable. Drinks on the roof terrace, overlooking the river, and watching the world go by.

History, location and quirkyness. Really felt like living back in time
