Perfect stay for my wife and I on New Year's eve. The hotel is a beautiful historical building and the rooms are very nicely furnished, comfortable and quiet. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was superb and the dining room overlooked the private gardens and the city walls. Apart from breakfast we didn't eat in the restaurant as it was fully booked but the hotel recommended other local restaurants for us.

Amazing location in York , easy to get too with its own car park . Only 2 minutes walk from York Minster . Super helpful and friendly staff . Great food . Will definitely be staying again in the future .

A wonderful hotel in a great location, very close to all the shops and to York Minster. The hotel is beautiful, such a wonderful old building with a fantastic history. Very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. The staff were all excellent, very friendly and helpful. We felt very relaxed and happy staying there and will definitely go and stay there again.

The room was lovely with a great view. It was nice to have plenty of drinking water supplied and there was ample tea and coffee supplies. The bathroom was great, a super shower, brilliant lighting around the mirror and nice toiletries. Breakfast was delicious and the service good. The lady on reception was exceptionally nice and very accommodating. A gift bag of water and flapjacks on check out was lovely.
