The property was lovely and an excellent retreat for the family to celebrate our daughter’s 30th birthday. It has a Spacious well equipped kitchen and comfortable bedrooms. The games room was great and well used by us. The property is situated in a Lovely rural location close to the City of York. Excellent details sent by the hosts for location and information needed for stay.

Loads of room very well kept with good communal areas to socialise in.

Great space and layout for a big family stay over….. good facilities throughout the house with lots of little bonus areas to sit and chill. The lounge / games area a real bonus! Really good location to access York centre via bus or car.

Overall a lovely cottage with plenty of space for our family stay.

The property is absolutely beautiful. It is in a great location, only 5 miles from York and 1 mile from Haxby village where there are some lovely shops, cafés and takeaways. The property has a large courtyard and garden so plenty of space for children and dogs to play outside. All outdoor space is enclosed and there is an outdoor seating area. The inside of the property is stunning with a large kitchen diner and lots of living space - it just seemed to go on and on. We particularly enjoyed the games room - the pool table and darts room provided hours of entertainment. The bedrooms were lovely, beds very comfortable and spacious bathrooms. We had absolutely everything we needed from kitchen utensils and crockery, to mirrors in suitable places, hairdryers in each room, there really isn’t anything that hasn’t been thought of. Every corner of the property was absolutely immaculate. We absolutely loved our stay and would love to return.

Lovely kitchen, nice garden which was quiet. Games room which we used and nice big family bathroom. Lots of seating areas in different rooms so good for a large group.

A lovely cottage, with lots of downstairs space for our group of 6 adults. A good size kitchen which was fully equipped and perfect for our needs, the added bonus of a living/games room meant we didn’t even use the lounge/dining area or the conservatory. Lovely touches like having Alexa in the kitchen and games room was great. Upstairs the 3 bedrooms and main bathroom were all lovely, clean and modern. The master bedroom was a generous size and benefited from an en-suite bathroom. The 3rd bedroom being the smallest was fine, although I did need to get ready in the other room as it was difficult to get ready for our night out, but this wasn’t an issue. Lovely clean, tasteful decor throughout the property. The cottage is beautiful inside and out. Seamless check in. Couldn’t fault it one bit.

Loved all of the different places to sit and relax, the games room was an excellent touch. The place was clean and tidy, we had mostly everything we needed for a lovely stay.

The size of the property was more than we needed or used. the garden area looks bigger than it is on the photos. Although its just the courtyard its very well kept and lots of space.
