The location was a suntrap so sunshine all day long,cabin was clean and cosy,the lake and fountain were beautiful.Access to golf club pool and facilities were a much appreciated bonus.Overall a fantastic place to stay,we have already booked another trip for this year.

“It's a no brainer!”

We both have stressful jobs and immediately felt relaxed on arrival. The lodge was beautifully presented and had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. The host was lovely. He popped round every day to check the site and was really friendly, but not intrusive. My partner enjoyed how close he was to the lodge to fish The coast is just under an hr away, where you can see seals and puffins at Flamborough or get the seaside vibe at Bridlington. York City is about half an hr away. We used the park & ride. Far cheaper and easier than city parking. We are definitely returning next year. ❤️

This weekend break was a suprise 50th gift for my partner. He loves fishing so this was the ideal break for him as there is a lake in the middle and the lodges sit around the lake. The lodge itself has a decked area with table and chairs and sunbeds. There is also a BBQ you can use. There is an excellent selection of cooking utensils all you needed for your stay. It was clean with lovely furnishings. We were given a complementary bottle of wine, crisps and bottled water, which was a nice touch. Rob the host was on hand if needed and greeted us on our first days stay. We were given free access to the spa facilities at the The Oaks Spa Club . I didn't do the spa only because I am more an outdoor person and do a lot of hiking rather than relaxing. I did try and book a nail treatment instead, but I left it to the last minute, and there was no availabilty during my stay. I visited York and Beverley and Harrogate all of which I can recommend. Overall the weekend was fantastic and we will definitely be visiting Woodland Lakes again.

No door between bathroom and bedroom but wasn’t a major issue

Set in a lovely location. Nice and peaceful. Luvly balcony with luvly views over the pond. The owner really nice.

The peaceful location and setting were outstanding five minutes to the spar and fifteen minutes to an Aldi the biggest bonus no children allowed and the owner Rob was around nearly every day to see if you needed anything within the lodge

Luxurious accommodation, everything had been thought about and catered for. Would definitely book again. Useful tip from the owner, if travelling into York, use the Park and Ride, very efficient and only cost 5.50 for two people , it was so easy.

The lodge was spotlessly clean it had everything we needed and more .The view was beautiful and very relaxing. Rob the owner was lovely, we couldn't fault it . PERFECT.
