Fantastic breakfast, a large choice and very accommodating. Staff were all lovely very helpful. The hotel was lovely and enjoyed our stay very much would definitely visit again. The walk to the city centre was easy enough 20 mins or so.

Ascot house i a beautiful place with such a welcoming owner friendly and attention to every detail. It made are stay even more beautiful thank you to all the staff. Breakfast was top quality. We will be returning in the future.

Beautiful traditional house which is immaculately kept. The room was ample size with excellent facilities including a spacious en-suite with toiletries provided. We were up in the eves so our room had plenty of character with all the exposed beams. Location is excellent, just far enough away from the noise of the city and a pleasant stroll to and from. June (with Willow in toe) is a cordial host who makes you feel very welcome and comfortable as do all the staff who are equally accommodating. It is likely the best cooked breakfast I have enjoyed in many years, cooked to perfection and excellent quality produce. This will be my go to for future visits to York.

“One of the best places to stay in York!”
Really great location, really friendly staff (great that they fixed the broken cot for our little one!) and very comfortable bed with soft towels. Good that they let us keep our parking even once we’d checked out

“Very happy stay”
