“A fascinating and unique experience”

The owner, Stephen, supervises everything personally, from the breakfast to the dinner (both extremely good) and every little need. He organized us the pick-ip from the Xiamen airport and and two days with a private car with driver to visit the area. Staying in a Tulou was a fascinating and unique experience.

The location is great too - walking distance from many other tulou, all of which are interesting to visit. “Wonderful experience staying in a traditional village house with a very attentive host!”

If you want to experience a slice of rural life in China this is it. Stay in a charming old world property. The owner Stephen is such a good host and so helpful, organised pickups from the station and also mapped out an itinerary for a day out viewing other villages. His mother cooks great meals some of the best food we had whilst travelling around China. This place was a real highlight of our trip for my daughter and I in China.

Exceptional host and price for value! Our host was so welcoming and kind, he helped us taking our luggage to our room and happily shared tips about visiting the area. He offered us some tea and arranged a driver for us to visit the surrounding Tulous. His house is magical, very authentic and full of charm. He even took a photo of us and kindly printed it, and framed it for us so we could have a souvenir. I loved it! I 100% recommend staying at Tulou Fuyulou Changdi Inn if you’re looking for an authentic, comfortable and warm atmosphere for your stay in the Fujian region. Thank you again for everything!

Staying in an authentic tulou with home cooked breakfasts and dinners. Ensuite showers n all amenities provided. Free use of washing machine. Within Tulou Prince scenic area. Arranges transport, guide and bespoke itineraries as needed. Stephen went out of his way to provide with a warm and welcoming stay, meeting our needs over and above expectations. I recommend staying for at least 3 nights and to visit chuxi tulou area - most authentic tulou area with 600 year old tulou in pristine form.

I loved the location, the architecture, the authenticity, and the simplicity of this place. I truly felt that I had been in the real ancient China. The food was made by the mother - real Hakka food. And it was good quality, healthy food.

Historical house with comfortable rooms with AC and always hot water. Stephen helped me a lot with the bus connection from Xiamen and organized the driver with a nice car for the best villages in the region. Delicious food!

Steven was amazing- he was so helpful and helped me with lots of different things. I would really have struggled without his English to help. The place is beautiful and you are staying in a piece of history. It is nice to have the family around and to see work behind the scenes on dinner etc. The food was delicious- I'm just sad I couldn't eat more of it!

Probably the best host I’ve had in China. The place is insane, the host speaks English, gives bikes.. perfect!

Heritage building right in the centre of the village. The owner and manager are extremely hospitable and provided helpful guide to the area. It is like going back in time while in the building.
