“The perfect beach house in Okinawa”

We are a family of 5 adults. The house was roomy and airy, had a big verandah and was considerately kitted out e.g. enough cutlery, lots of towels and toiletries, beach shoes (coral beaches), a washing machine and dryer that were super efficient and most importantly, comfortable beds and pillows. Even though we didn't have young children, I noted that they are also catered for with small toilet seat, toys and a crib. The downstairs bathroom sink is huge - big enough to bath a baby in! The kitchen was not big but worked well. The garden was also not big but beautiful and well maintained. The house is centrally located between the northern and southern part of the island. As we soon learnt, that saved us time because the road and traffic conditions are such that travel was slow e.g. low speed limits (compared to Australia), long traffic lights (lots of cross streets) and some really narrow roads. Also great location to catch the spectacular sunset. Close proximity to the Aeon supermarket was very handy. Also the pancake house and cafe for breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Beach House Yomitan and hope we can return one day.

Great place for a relaxing stay! The atmosphere was very warm and family-like, and the area was extremely quiet and peaceful. The house was very well equipped – we didn’t miss anything during our stay. The hosts were waiting for us on arrival, handed over the keys, and explained everything clearly, which was a big plus. There were 6 of us, and everyone had enough space to feel comfortable. An additional highlight was being able to relax in the garden while listening to the sound of the waves. Highly recommended!

Our host was extremely helpful and friendly. They even provided us with mosquito spray! We were given a tour of all the amenities, including traditional Japanese features such as the tatami room. The house is spotlessly clean and has everything you could possibly need, not to mention a very calm and relaxing atmosphere. The beach is just across the street, and the local fish market is just a few minutes' walk away. The area is surrounded by shops, including 7-Eleven and FamilyMart. The small private garden with the terrace is perfect for coffee in the morning, the ideal way to start your day in Okinawa!

This was a home away from home. We felt very comfortable and had everything we needed and more was available to us. It even felt like we had our own beach across the road, with Sobe Beach being one of Okinawa‘s secret beaches and rarely visited.

The facilities were great. The fridge, stove, toaster oven all offered cooking possibilities. We made our breakfasts and dinners most days which was wonderful. We walked on the beach everyday. If the weather permitted it would have provided great swimming and water activities. The beach was a 2 second walk from the house making it possible to carry a wake board, surfboard or kayak to the water. The sleeping arrangement was great. A bedroom on the main floor and two on the upper level, both with patios. The accommodation provided a relaxing, peaceful and pleasant environment. The owners were very welcoming. Providing packets of seeds from their lovely gardens and shells left from her lovely arrangements. A chicken was also provided as we arrived Xmas evening. The Christmas tree and Christmas decorations gave a wonderful at home feeling.

The host is exceptionally helpful and friendly ! House is clean and everything you need it they have it , even got kids toys and kayaks Park and beach at your door step, watch sunset on the beach in prime location, what else can you complain about!

The home was spacious and clean. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots and pans. There was plenty of cutlery and dishes. There were even some condiments to cook with. There was a lovely patio to enjoy overlooking the park and the sea.

A truly wonderful location with a private beach, stunning sea views, and a tranquil environment. The owners are exceptionally hospitable and ready to assist at any moment. Nearby, you'll find stores with everything you need, convenient bus connections, and quite a few excellent restaurants. In the house, you'll have everything necessary for a comfortable stay, including beach towels. So, we highly recommend it and will definitely return.
