The front desk lady was really nice and helpful ! The room was really big and clean, private parking space was really good and covered from the snow.

Even though its a love hotel, Its a great hotel even if you just need a place to sleep. Bed comfyness ok, bathroom with bathtub and optional free bubble bath, menu of sex toys or cosplay clothes to try (i didnt because i was alone this time), even an NES/SNES to rent which i took advantage of!

For Hokkaido the price is quite good, much better value than overpriced hotels or youth hostels! And much more comfort than in those...

Really fun and interesting experience to stay in an authentic love hotel while in Japan. It's kind of seedy, but that's part of the charm! The room was clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful, despite the language barrier (pay attention to the instructions they send in advance as they were very helpful!)

“Incredibly kind owner, unexpected love hotel, perfectly fine”

The owner/main staff member was absolutely lovely, extremely nice to us. We had to fly unexpectedly to Memanbetsu airport and had to find a last minute hotel. This one came up online, and although it looked a bit wacky, it was cheap and we could get a bus to it, so we booked it. It was only on the bus journey over that we realised that it was a love hotel, which was a bit of a (very funny) shock. It still served its function perfectly fine with a bed, a shower and all the facilities. A bit weird to be staying in a love hotel but sometimes, that’s how it is, and it really wasn’t that bad. I’d like again to thank the owner and his wife, who were incredibly kind to us.

We overall recommand the hotel: The staff seems very kind and available. They printed the hotel rules in our language (dutch), which we found very nice and kind. The room was very clean, and also very big. The bathroom was also big and with a bubble bathtub. We liked the decoration and the attention to detail. The amenities are very good and qualitative. The lights are nice and creative.

“Perfectly adequate love hotel. Nice location. Bit of a bargain.”

Right. This is one of those love hotels (you know what that means, right?) that has sort of reconfigured itself to take bookings and be used like a "normal" hotel, with comings and goings possible. (A lot of love hotels are doing so these days.) And, as such, it is perfectly fine. You get a big room, a huge double bed, a bath big enough for (at least) two people and easy, discreet access by car or indeed motorbike. Back in the day you'd never come face to face with staff in a place like this but here, the guy running the place - and explaining the score to us - was a lovely bloke, happy to help us in any way he could, (He sorted us out with hangers and a drying rack which was very much necessary after a bit of a nightmare ride to get there.) Location-wise, Abashiri isn't overly blessed with hotels and this place, just outside town, by Abashiri lake and within spitting distance of the Abashiri Prison Museum, hit the spot. Would happily use it again.

“LOVEly stay”

Yeah it's a love hotel, but probably the best room we have had in all of Japan beats your standard business hotel maybe i need to book more of these love hotels! Beds were so comfy room was spacious, really cool lighting and handy for a overnight stay for our road trip close to prison and ice drift muesums. Very clean and smelt clean.

“Great overall experience”

Very spacious room. Simple decorations, but very nice overall feeling. They don't have the plethora of ammenities you might find in other hotels like this, but what they have is more than enough (and more than most hotels). The staff was really kind and helped me check in even though I couldn't use my phone to call them. I was able to relax and enjoy some privacy after sharing rooms for a while until then :)

We booked the wrong hotel, which was a bit chaotic. The name of the hotel was different from the sign outside. This is a Valentine's Hour Hotel. The door is locked when you enter the room. There is no key. You have to make a phone call when you open the door. There is a sense of oppression when you are locked in the room. Children are not recommended to stay.

Only negative was the room smelled of cigarettes , even though we requested non-smoking.
