The hotel is perfectly located in a central area, making it convenient to explore. The staff were wonderful, friendly, and very helpful throughout our stay. The rooms are clean, comfortable and very clean.

I am reasonably sure I left my watch charger cord at the hotel. I called and visited repeatedly in the following days but each time I spoke to a different person and it was unclear whether housekeeping found it or not. After about a week, they said that they never found it.

“We had a lovely stay!”
These were by far the most comfy beds with the best pillows of our trip for me! I always travel with my own memory foam travel pillow as most hotel pillows I’ve experienced are fluffy feather pillows that compact down to nothing and end up feeling like I’m sleeping on a brick! But not at The Explorer Hotel! The beds were like a big warm hug with a lovely soft but supportive pillow! The fireplace in The Traders Grill was a beauty! The nachos at The Trapline Lounge were delicious! (Real cheese!)

“A good place to stay, if expensive”
A better than adequate place to stay in a town without many other choices. Comfortable, decent bar and restaurant and helpful staff. Let's be honest, you don't come to Yellowknife to stay in your hotel room. It was a welcome bonus to have a nice one when we needed it.
