Overview
Osaek Greenyard Hotel is located 800 metres from Osaek Bus Terminal in Yangyang. The hotel boasts natural hot springs and sauna facilities on site, along with restaurants, convenience stores and entertainment facilities. Guests can choose to stay at a Korean-style room with Ondol, Korean heated flooring, and traditional futon mats or a Western-style room with beds at Osaek Greenyard Hotel. All rooms have air conditioning, a seating area and a work desk. Private bathroom is fitted with a walk-in shower, while selected rooms also come with a bath. Staying guests at Osaek Greenyard Hotel can the indoor children’s playroom, billiard, fitness centre and table tennis facilities free of charge. Outdoor barbecue facilities can be rented at surcharge during summer season. Korea Restaurant is open for all-day dining and offers traditional Korean dishes. Spa Restaurant is located on the second basement floor, for guests to grab simple meals while using the on-site hot springs and sauna facilities on the same level. As many other reviewers point out, the hotel is quite old and the rooms are quite basic. That being said, everything was clean and you can tell this used to be a resort hotel. The surroundings are really fantastic - with direct access to the shortest trail up to the mountain peak. Beware that the hike is ~1300 m of elevation and can take 7 or so hours. It will take a toll on your legs. Going back the hotel, the absolute best thing we took the most advantage of were the baths. The spa facility was really wonderful with different baths and hot springs to choose from. Well worth it for a nature stay with some exercise and some quality relaxing.

The mineral baths were fun. Split for men and women, everyone naked, many different baths to choose from and an outside bath. Bedroom views were amazing, comfy beds and room was nice and warm. Breakfast was fine - big variation but quite expensive.

“Mysterious and special five-colored hot springs”
The hotel is located in the beautiful Seoraksan Mountain, where the mysterious hot spring water changes color five times a day. The value of this hotel is the hot spring water that rises like gas. That alone makes me want to visit here again next time. The hotel facilities seem to have been repainted, but they still smell, and I don't know much about the service because I didn't receive it, and the staff doesn't seem friendly. If you don't go with special expectations, you can get by just fine.

Location was great for our intended trek and the scale of the place exceeded our expectations. The staff were very helpful, including telling us our planned route was closed. The main restaurant was closed earlier than we expected, but we'd been caught by Korean earlier eating habits before. So we had the chance to eat at the on site convenience store, which was fun.

Great location for walking in Seoraksang via osaek gate. It’s five mins from park gate. The room was a sumptuous suite.
