“Great place to stay”

Great spot, just outside the main town. Close enough to walk during the day. The owners are incredibly friendly, speak perfect English and willing to help.

Shelly was amazing - her English was very good and she was incredibly helpful and friendly- she even took us on the back of her scooter to the ferry and arranged all our taxis. We left too early for breakfast and she left us a lovely packed breakfast. Very kind . The room was amazing - clean and bright with a beautiful view. I enjoyed my swim in the pool.

Very beautiful location. Quite as it is opposite of the Li River and out of the very noisy and busy Yangshuo. It's easy to reach by taxi or Didi. Take care you get the chinese hotel name from the staff for ordering a driver. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is good. The rooms are big and modern. We had a room with a breathtaking Mountain river view , see picture of the sunrise. Highly recommend family business. Thanks to the Hotel team.

We liked the hotel very much. It was clean and quiet and had amazing views. The breakfast was a bit incomplete but taste was fine. The pool area was a plus.

Everything! Stunning location, wonderful kind and caring staff. Super clean modern room. Mo (at reception) guided us through Alipay and didi and gave us a great deal of help suggesting things to do, renting bicycles etc. His lovely mum, did some washing for us, the cook made a lovely breakfast for us every morning! Was actually very sad to leave, wish we had more time there.

Our stay was only extraordinary! The room was perfect, clean, with a great view! The pool was great to relax. And the food was superb. Thank you for our great stay at Riverside Retreat! We hope to come again!

“Friendly and welcoming”

Very nice scenic location. Nice outdoor pool area. Room was comfortable and clean with air conditioning. In particular we found Craig and Shelly who run the hotel to be very friendly and helpful with arranging tickets for local attractions. Excellent service.

Spacious rooms, with amazing views on the mountains and the river. Biggest compliments to the staff at reception with good English and being helpful beyond any expectations and making suggestions for the surrounding sites.

Very friendly staff! Nice and clean room. We liked the pool and the view over Yangshuo. The food was really good (vegetarian food available).

Amazingly Beautiful

Perfect stay! Location is great from the train station because you don’t have to go through the busy centre. Views were serene and staff were exceptional. Easy to rent mopeds, order food and so forth. Would recommend.

Really peaceful and relaxing place. The room with terrace has a view that is wonderful and worth the stay The staff is really gentle and kind, and the owner speaks super fluently English. If we come back will come back here! Thanks for everything!
