If you enjoy getting away from the busy city, this is the perfect location! It's quiet, accessible (you can always call a Didi, and it arrives in less than five minutes), and situated near the river, where you can explore and take leisurely walks along the riverside.

It was clean but will not return again. Ever. You get a basic room, that’s it. No pool, only two fixed breakfast option. You can rent the bike or electric scooter. I would rather pay a bit more for Hilton (nearer to town with same views) for better stay and facilities. Initially thought we got scammed from the AI edited pictures and thought the service could compensate for the ‘reality’. The experience was ultimately ruined by discrimination and lack of sympathy by the owner (male) where we tried to ask for a favour (drop by any nearby shop otw to the station) and he was reluctant to even help and criticised that we eat breakfast and ‘want to eat again’. Context, we had a long trip back and wanted to get some food to avoid inconvenience of our friends who don’t speak Mandarin. A local friend then stepped in to explain our situation further, which he agreed. Then on the car ride to the station, we (other two) thanked him, instead of acknowledging it, he switched language to one of my friends to sarcastically say “you friend is already old, but still called uncle”, whichI immediately confronted that we’re being respectful here (significant age gap to the owner), nothing else. Hearing the audacity of the owner to be this rude (not the first time), I regret staying here. Not worth the price and treatment.

The room is very big and practical. Location is near the mountains and away from the ever busy xingping town.

The hotel location was perfect for visiting the Li River scenic area, just walking distance to the river and karst mountains infront and behind. The hosts were warm and friendly and gave us suggestions for day trips and recommended a nice and helpful driver for our trip out to Yangshuo town and Ru Yi. The local breakfast was nice with produce from the local farms. The room had all the essentials we needed including their supercomfortable beds.

We had a wonderful stay at this family-owned hotel. The atmosphere felt very warm, personal, and authentic, which made our experience in Yangshuo even more special. The hotel team was very kind and helpful throughout our stay. They helped us organize our time, plan activities, and arrange a driver, which was extremely convenient. Thanks to their support, we were able to smoothly visit all the places we wanted without stress. I would really recommend asking the hotel to help arrange transportation. The price was very reasonable, and it made everything much easier. With DiDi, there can be hidden additional costs, such as toll fees, and we were also not sure whether we would be able to find a taxi back from places like the tea plantation. Having a driver arranged by the hotel gave us peace of mind. Another nice thing is that the hotel can prepare food for lunch and dinner, which is very convenient, especially after a long day of exploring. Overall, it was a very pleasant, thoughtful, and authentic experience. We are very grateful for the hospitality and would happily recommend this hotel.

Honestly, I loved this place. If I ever come back to Yangshuo, I wouldn’t even think twice about staying here again. It’s a family-run hotel, and you can really feel the care they put into everything. The owners are incredibly kind, welcoming, and always happy to help with anything you need. The room was spotless, the views were beautiful, and the whole place has such a calm, peaceful atmosphere perfect for relaxing after a day out. It just feels genuine and personal in a way that bigger hotels often don’t. Highly recommend if you’re looking for somewhere quiet, comfortable, and run by genuinely lovely people.

The location is excellent—very quiet, with an amazing view. The overall atmosphere is unique and authentic. The family that owns the property is exceptionally kind and welcoming. During our stay, we saw how caring they are: when a child from another family became ill, the owner personally drove them to the hospital at 2 a.m. You can rent an electric bike there. The kitchen is also great—I highly recommend trying the local fish.

“Great location, amazing Chinese breakfast, friendly and helpful staff”

We had a terrific stay here. Great location, not too far from Xinping Ancient Town but far enough where you feel secluded and away from the hustle and bustle of city life. We walked to the town each day (very beautiful walk- we’re also not hikers so anyone can do it!) or you can also get one of the scooters that drive by frequently to take you for 10-20yuan. Also in walking distance to the famous $20RMB photo and local restaurants. The staff were amazing, and we loved their little mascot Tian-Tian (friendly and quiet pet dog!) The driver was amazing and very helpful. Gave us directions every morning on where to go and what to do. He recommended us a walk along the river which was absolutely beautiful and highlight for us- there was no other tourists around! Very beautiful scenery and we walked along the river until we got close to the town. The food at the hotel was terrific. We highly recommend trying the Chinese breakfast- we both agreed it was the best food we have had our entire trip! All the food around here was amazing as it is locally grown. Thank you so much for having us for our honeymoon and can’t wait to come again :)

“I had a wonderful stay with very gracious hosts!”

I had a wonderful, one night stay at this property as a solo female traveller. I felt very well taken care of by Lina and Ken. Lina cooked up a delicious dinner and Chinese breakfast. Ken helped me sort out travel plans with great patience and lovely cups of tea. The views from the rooms are stunning and you're close to the pier where you can catch a bamboo raft. Xingping Ancient Town is a short taxi ride away and you're also within walking distance of the famous scenery on the RMB 20 note. If you're looking for a charming, Chinese style accommodation in a quiet location close to the mountains, this is the place to stay! I can highly recommend it.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely property. From the moment we arrived, the husband and wife who run the hotel made us feel truly welcome and at home. Their hospitality was exceptional — they helped organize our activities and ensured everything ran smoothly throughout our stay. The breakfast, prepared and arranged by the wife, was absolutely delicious and a perfect way to start each day. Although the hotel is not located in the city center, its peaceful setting and beautiful landscape more than make up for it. Our room was extremely spacious, comfortable, and spotless. We were genuinely impressed and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a warm, relaxing, and memorable stay.

“Authentic Yangshuo stay”

Great location near to Xianggong mountain and railway station. The owners really helped us and made a huge difference. We organised most activities with them that were really good. Cormorant fisherman was great, xianggong sunrise and then a full day with private car to roam around. They also pre booked tickets for us. also, Lina’s cooking is really top notch - we had the best ever beer fish and fried tofu. Really really good! The view of the mountains is really great from the room.

“A cosy and quiet retreat to explore Xingping”

We had a wonderful stay at Leisure Courtyard Hotel. Upon arrival, we were picked up from Yangshuo station and the hosts were very friendly and helpful, suggesting activities and routes for us to explore the beautiful area. We particularly enjoyed the bike ride (with free bikes) from the hotel through a gorgeous and quiet scenic route. The bed and linens were extremely comfortable and of good quality. The shower had excellent water pressure as well as ample hot water. There is a beautiful view straight onto the mountains from the room. The room was quiet and was equipped with heating, which is essential for the winter months. It was the perfect base to explore Xingping. Lina is a great cook as well - the food is delicious, a welcome contrast to the strong flavours in the touristy restaurants. Would definitely recommend!

The view and the location was ok to see the local sights but very far out from the city centre

“Exceptional stay”

This is a 5 star hotel but with a warm home feeling. Everything was great from the moment the owner, Mr Fan, met us at Yangshuo Railway station. He was really welcoming and friendly. There was no elevator but his staff helped to bring our suitcases up the stairs which was much appreciated after a long train ride. Lina, his wife, cooked the most delicious dinner on our first night. We had to order this in advance but she sent us the menu one day earlier. We chose the Chinese set menu for breakfast daily, which was included in our room rate. Our 2-bedroom suite were steps away from Li River, close to the 20 yuan viewpoint. It had large windows where we could see the magnificent karst mountains from both bedrooms. There was even a balcony to enjoy the view. Having a washing machine in our room was great with plenty of hangers to hang our laundry. The bathroom was fitted with modern amenities but aesthetically it blended really well with the more traditional chinese decor in the bedrooms. Daily housekeeping by staff was of very high standard., It was very easy to get Didi taxi through our Alipay app. The main thing to note is that one must use the name Xian Ting Mei Su Boutique Inn, Yangshuo and not Leisure Courtyard Hotel Yangshuo for the address. During the day, it cost us 52 yuan to get Yangshuo. After watching the Impressions of Liu Sanjie show, and a late dinner, coming back to hotel cost us 85 yuan (we thought it was because he had to get back to main town). Mr Fan was extremely patient in helping us with our holiday needs. You could tell him all your plans and he could help you arrange the best way to cover them all. We did a private tour one afternoon through his arrangements to Xianggongsan and Ten Thousand Mountains where we saw the sunset. If not for his advice, we would have missed this as Ten Thousand Mountains was not in our initial plan! We thank Mr Fan, Lina and their team for the most memorable stay!
